At my store SB and FA just call GSTL to get in touch with AP or LOD. I find it best for things like that to call with phone once the guest has stepped away and if no one is manning phone I write down details to give them when they can.

It sounds like you really want to be there which makes you a valuable employee so I'll reiterate others advice. Take a breath and dont take it seriously. Don't fear the blinker, it is your friend. That's the job of the GSA/GSTL to assist you. im a GSA and id rather you ask me a silly question...
