To that one Team Member I - ARCHIVED

To that one tm who usually works in health and beauty...you're so amiable, it's great. I could definitely learn a thing or two from you...just going right up to new people, introducing yourself and engaging them in conversations. What an upbeat and friendly attitude. To my TL: If only you...

Archived Some questions about pay and work centers

That's strange; I was under the impression that plano and backroom both paid slightly higher than flow. But then again there is a lot that I still do not know.

Archived Some questions about pay and work centers

Alright, cool. It has been implied to me that plano pays a bit more than flow, at my store at least, but it could be a ploy to get more people on that team, hahah. The main attraction is that it would practically guarantee 40 hour weeks whereas I'm averaging about 25 a week now. I would also not...

Sorry because I know i've asked this question before. This was short and simple. Thanks a lot.

Archived Some questions about pay and work centers

Sorry, no advice, but a question for the OP... How did you start getting presentation shifts after being sales floor tm? Did you ask to cross train, and then help out when they need it? I'm in this grey area...being flow currently and wanting to try something else. I have been encouraged by...

Archived Go Out With A BANG!

Cool thread. I honestly could not think of anything exciting or mischievous to end my employment with. If i was leaving Target I would probably order a bunch of pizzas and bring them to the breakroom, say goodbye to the few people I actually got to know well or talk with occasionally. If I...

Archived Do you guys remember your first day working at Target?

I remember my first orientation day, which lasted only like 2 hours with the vids and a short tour. The following day I was asked to start at 4 am on the line, which never happened again except one other time, my birthday of this year. Some guy taught me informally how to read box labels to find...

Archived You know you've been at Target too long...

Nope! I always forget to, even in the car... should be careful, especially for the sake of my poor front seat.

This too! 2/3 pairs of my work pants have the box cutter hole in the back pocket. :(

Archived Anyone actually LOVE their job?

The job itself is nothing amazing, but as it is my first job I have nothing to compare it to and feel that it is pretty fair, and sometimes can be enjoyable. Aside from being my daily workout session, going to work provides structure to my day, and I really enjoy the hours, i.e. coming in at...

Archived You know you've been at Target too long...

Hilarious, naming the baler and other equipment. I actually talk to myself while working sometimes but it is kind of a habit anyway. I guess a weird thing is that sometimes when I'm taking my carts of trash to the backroom I say "C'mon guys, let's go," and apologize to things when I drop them...

    To that one guest

To the guest who left their baby's half-liquid-half-solid excrement on the shelf in a Starbucks cup: Why?! I cannot imagine how or when this could have possibly happened, but I had to deal with it the next morning... The smell was disgusting, it was unsanitary, and left a mess that the poor...

To that one Team Member I - ARCHIVED

Ooh, fun... To that one TM that i pass most mornings, I wish you would return my greeting instead of silence and that intense stare...it freaks me out... To my supervising TLs: It makes me sad that you guys are trying to kick me out as early as possible every day... and lastly, to that "one"...

Archived eHR isn't working for me--at home or at work.

eHR is a pain...reminds me of the school server for HCC, but that might even be better. It's unfortunate that it only works through IE but even that is not my main problem. Just about every time I try to reach eHR from work (gave up on using it from home, since the main areas i try to access are...

Archived Best work center/position for independent, hard-working individual?

Oh that's funny, because when i first started, on flow team, I didn't actually receive any official 'training', just some guy who gave me a basic explanation of how to read the labels and find the appropriate place for things to go. The rest I learned through mimicry and asking questions here...
