I'm so mad at my schedule. :P Only TL without overtime, only TL that has to work both weekends before and after Thanksgiving. My STL has also revamped the LOD schedule where I'm only LOD on weekends, but has graciously given me closing LOD on Christmas Eve and all the SF TLs open. Not. Happy.
I only get LOD shifts on weekends now, which is strange. And we've swapped STLs, who seems to want to really downplay our leadership in the store. Our last STL treated us like ETLs. She had high expectations for us and was prepping us to move on to the next level. This STL (who is by no means...
PATL! I was a PATL before they combined the PA/POG teams at my store and it was my favorite position. If your PA team isn't all-stars (mine are), it can be incredibly challenging. If they are all-stars, it's still challenging, but you're not constantly trying to "fix" the workcenter.
I'm over the POG & PA teams at my store and this Peak hour nonsense has done nothing but inhibit my teams' ability to finish their workloads. My PA team are a couple of all-stars and stay over to finish the workload; YTD, we had 100% for PA Timeliness. But this new Peak Hour is just another way...
It'll be 6. They'll change it on Thursday and my poor HR TM will have to rewrite the schedule. Happened last year, remember? We announced midnight, then moved it back to 9 and redid the schedule. And it'll be my last 4th quarter. Next year, we'll be open Thanksgiving. Just watch. :P
I believe this is primarily for low volume stores. Makes sense at mine. Most weekdays, our closing salesfloor is 6-10:30, so there is only one SF TL on the floor from 3:30-6, and that's when we're calling back-up. When I close, my team has the zone done by 9:30 and we've been sending people home...
That's been a recent expectation at our store, too. Problem is one person zones all of Softlines at night (2 on a weekend). So, you can have zoned panty bins or RTW zoned. But it really isn't feasible to have both.
On a related note, SSS is the devil. Even when my flow team or my POG team...
