no lately i've been doing that internship for the past 3 months now

yeah because for a very long time in my life whenever i applied for a job, not only would i not get hired, i would not get an interview in the first place, but the fact i've had 11 job interviews this year, for entry-level service jobs, must mean something new and i'm not aware of it

it's like as if applying for a simple minimum-wage job in retail, customer-service, fast-food, is like applying to be an Engineer, Architect, FBI Agent, Doctor, etc. C'mon, who would you rather hire? someone who could accidentally kill you by performing surgery on you? or someone who rings up...

it just pisses me off that it's easier to get hired as a seasonal employee during the holidays than it is during the regular, normal time of year

yeah aside from the Volunteering i've been doing lately, which i started doing last week, thats another option I should pursue

yeah, one-thing I do not know the answer to yet, is to retail entry-level service jobs, such as retail, when hiring around the holidays, do they do reference checks, do they call for references when they are hiring for seasonal temporary jobs? or is that only when hiring for permanent job positions?

also, i'm guessing i am right, correct, that retail, entry-level retail jobs are less picky, less choosy about who they hire during the holidays for seasonal, temporary jobs than they are for permanent jobs during the normal time of the year?
