    Prompt asking about breaks.

Not sure where I stand on this... If the break room is in the back of the store, the cashier working at the front will get a much shorter break than those working in the back room if the time walking to and from the break room is counted in their 15 minutes.

FY 2023 Annual Pay and Performance - Team Members (PG35/38)

Same at our store (we were told) That's just crap.

FY 2023 Annual Pay and Performance - Team Members (PG35/38)

Yeah... I think you're right, but those who have been with the company 20+ years were excluded. I know I didn't get it.

FY 2023 Annual Pay and Performance - Team Members (PG35/38)

Not capped. If I remember right, they raised the cap along with minimum wage and it was enough that I got raises. Still getting raises.... they do not adjust pay for anyone making above minimum when they raise the minimum. I do not know the current caps or even if they exist anymore.

FY 2023 Annual Pay and Performance - Team Members (PG35/38)

I honestly don't really remember. I have more than 20 years in. I think it was around $12, so that wouldn't be a thing anymore.

FY 2023 Annual Pay and Performance - Team Members (PG35/38)

I have also capped out several years in a row with the highest review score. Also got a quarter.

    Terrible Communication

Same. TL's all switched departments recently and there was no announcement at all about who went where. At least some of them told their new teams that they are their lead. No internal openings are ever posted.

    FMLA and accountable hours

Federal FMLA guarantees that your job will be protected while you are off work, so long as you return within 12 weeks. (26 weeks for care of a service member) Upon your return, you must be placed in the same job you left, or a comparable position. States may have additional FMLA laws and they...

    $1.00 extra from 10/22/2023 to 01/06/2024

Morale is really low at our store. Hours are being cut midweek. There are pallets on the floor all day long. Zone is a thing of Christmas past. Reshop is hidden in carts throughout the store. Maneuvering the backroom has become an Olympic event. Tm's have no holiday cheer... just a sense of...

    Paid LOA for sick spouse

Family Medical Leave is unpaid. You can use your vacation pay, though.

    Hours Being Cut

We were told that our hours being cut reflected other stores in our district not making sales when we pointed out that we were.

    Holiday Pay

Paid holidays are typically a benefit for full time employees. It would seem fair that anyone averaging full time status would get paid federal holidays. This is the only job I've ever had that did not pay holiday pay for federal holidays.

Merit Raises & Reviews: 2023 Edition

Didn't apply to those who have been with the company over 20 years. (she said with a sad smile)

Merit Raises & Reviews: 2023 Edition

The McDonald's across the street just raised starting pay to $16. I wonder how that will affect us.... excuse me... how that will affect the newly hired at Target. It's apparent to long timers that it will never affect us.

    401k loans + repayment

401K loans are not subject to penalties unless you default. If you fail to repay or are fired, you have to pay the taxes. You are not allowed to borrow the entire amount.

    No set schedules again?

My point is that Target is putting TM's that have deductions made from their paychecks at risk of not being able to make the payments for those benefits and having to find a way to pay them if the hours are cut significantly.

    No set schedules again?

If a tm is qualified and signed up for benefits, they should, at minimum, be scheduled enough hours to cover those deductions from their paycheck... that may or may not actually happen

    Hours Being Cut

Our biggest break coverage problems are with Starbucks. We don't have "extra" trained people and it obviously isn't possible for their TL to cover every break. The ETL isn't Starbucks certified/trained and probably couldn't tell a latte from a frappuccino.
