This sounds like my situation. My store can be pretty relaxed when it comes to the time clock, but this wasn't something I wanted them to know I was considering. Thanks for all the replies. Good to get the different views.

You're saying that the clock will allow me to end my meal late, right? Then it's just a matter of my store's HR deciding if it's a problem or not?

How flexible is my thirty-minute break? What if I make it back to the time clock after 35 or 40 minutes? When I punch back in would the time clock accept it? Does HR notice or care?

Could there be any instance when it would matter? Like, you worked a double, then submitted for twenty hours that day?

A lot of team leaders want to know when you've finished a pull. You might need to call it out on your walkie talkie when you're done.

Funny that. I started doing it pretty regularly a couple years ago and other TMs do it, too. I've never heard anything about it being a problem. No leaders, no TMs who make bales, nothing from the property manager. Go figure. Can anybody settle this?
