COVID-19 COVID-19 aftermath: will Black Friday and Thanksgiving "doorbuster" crowd sales be changed?

Probably, for years to come. LOL. People (in general) won't insist on America-made products, once the price tag hits. Unless there manages to be some progress made on income inequality, people who shop at places like Target won't have the luxury to be that picky. The rich don't care. In...

COVID-19 Is Target doing enough to protect employees from getting coronavirus ?

So, where, pray tell, are they getting the masks from? There's a bit of a shortage on at the moment, in case they hadn't noticed.

COVID-19 Is Target doing enough to protect employees from getting coronavirus ?

Not really damning, if you read it. They spoke to a whopping SEVEN employees who say THEY haven't heard anything. Seven. My store has 300 employees alone. I'm sure you could find 7 who either don't work often enough or are oblivious enough to not have heard "anything" about Target's coronavirus...

To that one Team Member - II

TTOHRETL. Thanks for calling to check up on me today. Yes, I called out for my Sunday & Wednesday shifts, but that was because my husband was in the hospital for non-COVID-related reasons and not because I was ill or too anxious to come in. Yes, I am a bit anxious, because my job at Target does...

To That One Guest - II

Given that people can spread the virus while asymptomatic or presymptomic, if we had an infinite supply of masks it would be best for everyone to wear them out in public. However. We do not have an infinite supply of masks, so they must go to those that need them and no those idiots who wear...

COVID-19 Team Member health: how are you and others in your workcenter managing?

Oh, this has been the case for me since I started. Definitely not new.

COVID-19 Team Member health: how are you and others in your workcenter managing?

There's no way the stuff from China is making people sick. Even if the virus could survive week(s) in transit (it can't), much of the stuff we're selling was manufactured either in other places or before the epidemic hit in China and is making its way through the end of the supply chain. I tend...

    COVID-19 Sick leave during coronavirus?

Why not go on an LOA? Better than calling out.

    Will this get me fired?

No. They've suspended the attendance policy for the moment. You might not qualify for sick pay, but you won't get dinged for calling out. ETA: Assuming your leadership doesn't suck, that is. If they do suck, you're probably better of finding work elsewhere, anyway.

    COVID-19 Coronavirus...

I'd still rather clean than cashier.

COVID-19 Is Target doing enough to protect employees from getting coronavirus ?

Because the public drinking fountains are touched by hundreds. TM ones are touched by dozens in a day, and can be cleaned regularly enough to be sanitary.

COVID-19 Is Target doing enough to protect employees from getting coronavirus ?

At my store last night it was the fucking teenagers out in groups like it was a normal Saturday night. There was one group of them, with a grubby 3-ish-yo who was climbing on fucking everything in stationery and they hung out there for, like, 20 minutes doing god-knows-what (except supervising...

To That One Guest - II

My store has taken to acknowledging the truck late, basically after everything popular has sold, so we don't have guests and OPU competing for the same items. It makes audit fun.

Guest Services Can I speak to a manager?: A front end thread

Is he a guest if he's grabbing for a bag of money? I think not, at that point, but it's probably splitting hairs. She will not get fired. I wasn't there, but I assume it was more of a reaction. Hard to separate "Woman with a man in her space must react NOW" from "I'm a Target TM and we're not...

Dammit, my SD got promoted and is leaving

And he is a really awesome SD. I have little faith the new SD will be in the same league. He was very much not the type of manager to hang out in his office. He's always on the floor, pulling out pallets, helping TMs, fetching carts, jumping in on SFS/OPU if needed and on and on. Lots of time...

Guest Services Can I speak to a manager?: A front end thread

It wasn't, I don't think. It was on the scale/scanner part of the register right in front of her. Dude came over and grabbed it. She tried to push or deflect him, I guess, but did not succeed (she's pretty tiny. And she's fine, just shook up).

Nobody has. We're all in exceedingly uncharted territory for this era.

Guest Services Can I speak to a manager?: A front end thread

Do your stores have one or two people closing registers (or does AP supervise)? We had a guy grab a money bag off an SCO when a TM was closing them tonight. I've always thought it a little odd that they close the registers solo with guests in the store (when I last I closed registers, at...

    Store damaged

Yikes. Sorry about your store! Glad everyone is ok. Lots of storms tonight. I think TN is getting a line of storms basically sweeping through the whole state. It stormed for 3 hours at my store tonight (not usual for MN), but our roof miraculously held up with no leaks. My basement NSM.
