    Corporate Does Target truly care?

I think they asked it at different levels. I think there was one about immediate supervisors and then also higher but I don't remember if the higher was corporate or store leadership. I don't think it was specifically SD.

    Corporate Does Target truly care?

Was surprised to see this question on the survey? I think I either said disagree or neither agree or disagree.

    How is sick time earned?

at 1 hour per 30 hrs and 12 hrs times 52 weeks=624 hours a year. 624/30 That means I earn about 20 hours a year. I also have been with Target more than 10 years. I typically use 4-8 hrs of sick per year. Every year that means I am earning 12-16 hrs that I am not using. It stops accruing at...

    How is sick time earned?

I believe some states mandate sick before that. I live in a state that mandates that any employer with more than 15 workers, employees earn 1 hour for every 30 hours worked as long as the employee works at least 24 hours per pay period. They are required to be able to accrue up to 40 hours...

    How is sick time earned?

I think it depends on your state. Some states mandate sick pay. In other states it goes by Targets base policy which other than saying it is available for "eligible employees" doesn't go into any other details. You would want to check with HR at your store to see what is the eligibility criteria.

Circle Week and the new Circle

I have added the new offer to extend the free membership. Do I need to go back into the membership details and turn the auto renewal back on or will it extend the membership with only having added the offer? I was afraid it wouldn't so I did turn the auto renewal back on but I really don't...

Is your store still price matching?

I haven't price matched in a while. It looks like only Target.com, Walmart and Amazon (non marketplace items) only. I used to match to ulta.com and a few others.

No time and a half for Christmas Eve this year?

In addition to the differential which may have even been $1.50 but not time and a half; during Covid it was Saturdays and Sundays pre Christmas in December. It did not include the day after christmas which has always been one of my least favorite days.

So I was fired this week

Yes they weren't able to screw you out of unemployment, but it still sounds like they fired you possibly for age discrimination reasons. You still have to decide if you want to pursue that.

So I was fired this week

And at your age, the firing would open them up to potential age discrimination unless they have all of the t's crossed and i's dotted in documenting why you were fired. You may also want to consult with an employment attorney, especially one who could give you a free consultation to discuss if...

Can't you just tell them that you currently have no availability and if that changes, you will pick up shifts through the app.

Can you get written up for being sick

@Meme Were these your only call outs in the last 6 months? If your attendance was bad or questionable, the fact that THIS TIME you may have legitimately sick might not give you a free pass.

    Paid LOA

But she isn't caring for a sick family member. Her mother, who is the employee's babysitter, will be going away to care for her sick family member who happens to be the employee's grandmother. The employee will be in a different country than the sick family member staying home to watch her...

    Paid LOA

I don't think it would be covered. Your primary reason for not working is lack of childcare, not that you are sick or caring for a sick family member. I guess it depends on the laws in your state. Whether you could get paid by "finessing" the reason for the LOA is another question.

    Another year of no raises

What statistic? I haven't seen or hear the numbers. That is what I am asking. There are a lot of places in the world where you can't get a hotel room. That isn't proof of anything. My husband hates cities. If you ask him NYC was a garbage dump 10 years ago and 5 years ago and still is. So...

    Another year of no raises

I would love to see the research/proof about how many prime hotel spaces are booked with illegals in 2024 vs 2019.

    Another year of no raises

So you think MAGA proposes that we need to raise the wages of the workers at the bottom and that will help with inflation, and it is just my imagination that they oppose any kind of over $10 an hour minimum wage. Or do you not think target is a minimum wage plus $1-2 kind of a business for team...

    Another year of no raises

Do you mean the reason for no raises? I think the MAGA line is, unskilled people, like those that work at Target, should consider themselves lucky to make $8-11 an hour. That way all of the people who are earning their $20-100 an hour can pay less for their groceries and other essentials like...

Tear up the store I guess

As bad as that is, better to do that than to buy 20 bathing suits, tear the tags of them and return them 30, 60 or 90 days later.
