How does Target determine "push times"?

Thats not true the true times that target gives you on the truck paperwork is much better and substantiated through whatever data they have. Then the middle management and the store management try and use averages to make things simpler and just say each box is one minute and repacks are 5...

Quick Question about Goal Time (inbound/push)

It just comes with time. Think efficiency means doing things in less steps. Once you learn where things go you will do less walking around. Keep your uboat with you so you aren't walking back and forth. Keep it organized and clean. You will get faster pretty quickly if you do the same thing...

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

Yeah I mean the difference between a good store and a bad store is leadership. I've worked in many stores and even the same store with different leadership will struggle. My inbound team was as good as I could ask for but with a poor etl and an even worse SD the store went from clean to...

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

I mean if anything wave push should reduce the slackers. When I ran my truck the slackers areas would have to be done by other tms. The only way any of this works is by removing them. If your a lead and working with your team doing the wave then there is no room for slacking. If its still...

Sales Floor Does anyone else have unrealistic push times?

When I was an inbound lead i went over freight times with my team, explained how it was calculated, and addressed the concerns they had. Ask your leader how he got the numbers. There are some nuances but the times given aren't typically too off. Candles/H+H/furniture may be slightly longer...

Hiring Should I apply for more positions or should I call and ask HR

Hours are just down right now so hiring is going to be slow to non existent a month or 2 from now will be much better. Usually only hiring right now would be dire need for niche things like inbound 4am shifts. If stores don't need closing people then they won't be hiring.

What is the exact job description of a fulfillment pacesetter?

It could mean inventorying the supplies as I had my pacesetter do that when I was the fulfillment lead.

I just had an interview today for the service and engagement team lead and this was my second interview.

For a while the SD did an informal style interview touring the store and looking for the applicants to point things out and what not. It's up to them however to interview how they want to interview and I feel like it's less common now.

    Question about GM stats

Raises occur once a year and aren't really the best. If your new you will only get so much of the raise either like if you worked 3 months you get 1/4 the amount of the raise for being there 1/4 of the year. Your individual stats aren't really going to matter. Very limited amount of tms will...

Corporate So I work as a core member at one target but was wondering if I would be able to apply at another target to be an odtm for more hours (two districts)

It was in the plans for odtms and maybe it was all tms to be able to work at other stores with the mytime app but it hasn't happened yet. Idk if the idea was scrapped or not.

    TL Process

From what I understand it's that all TL positions would go through a recruiter similar to how ETLs are handled. So now an ETL or SD would contact the recruiter and give them some parameters or what they are looking for and they would supply candidates to them. As for purpose. I think it's...

    Grocery Pulls

I was told it is 40 dpcis per hour pulled and pushed. Dpcis not eaches. I find that hilariously low especially for grocery but that's what the metric we use.

Got a offer letter for Food and Beverage Expert?

I could see them if they do pulls they would be in the freezer, but for the most part seasonal staff do not get put there. The store should have people already working for that area that isn't seasonal.

Got a offer letter for Food and Beverage Expert?

It won't hurt your chances. What did you apply for. Food and beverage expert is not Starbucks and there is slim chance you will be in the freezer. Maybe the coolers but usually seasonal market is just taking the incoming freight and putting it on the shelves or pulls(taking the old overstock...

A week and a half since interview?

Some stores are notoriously bad at getting back to interviews or setting them up in thebfirst place. Then complain when they don't have enough people
