I believe this meeting was only for leader in sales areas. Style, beauty, and electronics only.

Archived Eliminating positions and roles caused people to NOT give a "F"!!!

It really does depend on the leadership. More importantly, it depends on the leadership holding team members accountable to the higher expectations the company has put on us now. I know ASANTS, but think about how unproductive the flow team used to be. Simply because they only did one thing and...

Archived Poll: Your store's reshop process

Our remodel from last year does not include the half wall. There is very little space behind guest service.

Archived How many Vacation hours can I accrue? When will I stop accumulating?

As a team member under 5 years, you earn 40 hours of vacation a year. Which equates to about 1.5 hours per paycheck if you work all 80 hours of that pay period. You can accrue up to 1.5x your yearly amount, which would be 60 hours. Once you pass 5 year, you will earn 2 weeks of vacation a year...

    Archived Advice on changing workcenters

If you’re wanting to stay on the AP side of things, then TPS would be a good idea. Especially with more stores now having APTLs instead of ETLs

    Archived Advice on changing workcenters

I personally would not suggest moving to flex to develop. I know ASANTS, but here it’s more of a long term job with little potential to move up. Especially with the lack of guest interaction associated with it.

Archived Just curious. How many TL in the back room do you guys have?

We still have one department that is red more often than not, but a majority of the team really does take pride in their area, including the backroom. It does take a lot of coaching, and leaders who are good at digging in and finding issues.

Archived Just curious. How many TL in the back room do you guys have?

Our ETL Log spends almost no time in the backroom. All of our ETLs spend a large majority of their time on the floor leading guest service and active selling. Each department owns their entire backroom, price change, and everything. It definitely didn’t happen overnight and still some work to...

Archived Just curious. How many TL in the back room do you guys have?

We haven’t had a backroom team member at all this year, let alone a team lead. Modernization started years ago here.

Archived How are ETL's LIke Religious Zealots?

Sad to say, but I’m done with TBR. It is no longer informative and mostly just about complaining now

Archived How are ETL's LIke Religious Zealots?

What do you want me to do? Attach a camera to myself so you can time how much of my week I spend at work. Dumbass.

Archived How are ETL's LIke Religious Zealots?

I do not having trouble believing that. If you haven’t been an ETL, you really have no idea. It is highly unlikely that a team member or team lead is in the building when the ETL both gets there and leaves, so you really have no idea.

    Archived New ETL Hire

This is such a difficult answer right now, because stores across the company are all in different phases of modernization. Do you know what time your store will be unloading the truck and/or how many people work on unloading it? That could at least give us a start on what you’re getting into.

We’re already scan based for several vendors for years, any idea what the pilot consists of?

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

I don’t know if it’s regional or company wide, but no one’s priority is stocking anymore. Even the sales floor team stocking the truck have to recognize that the guests are top priority. There is no such thing as a flow team anymore here.

Archived How are ETL's LIke Religious Zealots?

I really don’t always think it’s a lack of empathy. We’re only given so many hours and have to make it. An ETL really doesn’t have any say in how many hours they get.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm or if you are all just sad people.
