    Archived Bye bye T-580

It's been a great 5 year run, but it's time to move on. Done a lot of good things at my RDC and they've done a lot of good for me. Made a lot of friends there. Thank you everyone for all of your collaboration and support over the years. It's been fun to be a part of. Special thanks to...

Also they have no production numbers, they more or less just know what needs to be done and they do it. That being said, proving to your GL'S that you work well unsupervised is a must. They have GL'S too, but they have very minimal supervision.

They support the operations guys and/or the mechanics. Most of what they do is behind the scenes like trailer maintenance or other low difficulty building maintenance, but what they are most commonly seen doing are things like changing label ribbons and collecting operational trash (not garbage...

Yes, we are utilizing temps to load the trailers more than I've ever seen. I'm not sure if any full-timers actually load anymore.

Don't sweat it. That sort of thing is completely normal at my DC. I had a friend literally just get hired last week at my DC and he didn't hear back from them until about a week and a half from his interview day.

Sorry I missed all that, didn't see notification til today. How did it turn out? I would suggest you call up there to double check. Packers fall under a different category, based on your last message it kind of sounds like you were supposed to be there.

Overtime is hit/miss right now. I put in 2 days of overtime last week, but this week wasn't available. I'm sure there will be plenty to go around soon enough.

So based on what your saying, you'll be starting Outbound A2 shift? A2 is a pretty rough shift in my opinion, but that's where a lot of people start at. Store seniority carries over to the DC, so after 6 months you can sign up for a better shift if you don't like A2. Dress comfortably. Most...

A guy on here named Beastfromtheeast will probably be able to give you the best answer since he's worked in Outbound for a long time, but I'll take a crack at it until he responds. First off, I will say ignore the arrows. The arrows are intended for freight that is being stores in the building...

I always wear training or tennis shoes, but the most important thing is the soles. Throw out the soles the shoes come with and invest in a good pair. Makes a WORLD of difference.
