    Drive Up ideas

Not that I practice this myself but it’s best practice to scan every bag only when the guest arrives for order accuracy reasons so Target won’t go for #1. #2 has been beat to death on this forum and elsewhere. Target won’t go for that. Guest first. Right now they get a gentle reminder and I’m...

    2023 New pilots?

The department has always been “in charge” of call buttons. The metric for call button response time has always been a Guest Experience/S&E metric.

    Goodbye Indymes 👋

This just means your Indyme server is offline and no one at your store cares enough to call it in.

Remember how this just crashed the registers? So we had to restart them which took 20+ minutes?

Does anyone remember the “Wrong Payment” function on Classic POS? That was a really nice feature to have

    MEGATHREAD New POS (post-cutover)

I liked the Classic POS design of “scan something to get started,” but I realize that this was probably intentionally not done with New POS as it would slow down the application. I would probably still rather have it this way though than jump around to different menus for different functions.

    Cat and Jack returns

We tell them no unless there is something wrong with the item. Our SD has had it with the bags of old used clothes.

    Goodbye Indymes 👋

As someone who worked electronics a lot in my early years with Target I can relate. As soon as I walked away from my area to grab a CAF or reshop… ”FAST SERVICE NEEDED IN ELECTRONICS!!! FAST SERVICE NEEDED IN VIDEO GAMES!!!!”

I don’t recommend refunding it to a GiftCard. When the exchange is purchased with a GC, should they decide to just return it later, they will be throwing a fit when they can only get GC credit.

    Goodbye Indymes 👋

Most stores are still using the Indyme system until next year.

    Goodbye Indymes 👋

Right? Target has the resources to ditch Indyme as a vendor and develop their own proprietary system. The myDevice alerts seem to just get ignored or go unnoticed 🤷🏻‍♂️ Back in the day if the Indymes went to second request the LOD would be screaming on the walkie.

How do you make overhead announcements via your zebra?

You could try but I don’t think so. AFAIK it needs to be a desktop IP phone (Cisco if your store still has those or the Polycom phones)

How do you make overhead announcements via your zebra?

Yes they should be able to! You could try using chatbot as well.

How do you make overhead announcements via your zebra?

You have to call CSC and request paging line access for the extensions to use the paging system ✨

    Goodbye Indymes 👋

If your store has not already received the upgrade, the old system for call buttons (Indyme Smart Response; “Fast service needed in Automotive. Second request, 15 seconds remaining. Who is responding?”) will be removed from stores. No more robot voice on the walkie. Instead, the system for the...

Because most of the time they don’t show up if your area isn’t set exclusively to Service & Engagement and nothing else. This is another area where New POS is lacking. “See who needs $” should have been a feature carried forward to New POS. On Workbench there is a screenshot of New POS showing a...

The new receipt viewer is the worst thing about New POS. InsidePOS was far more reliable at finding receipts.

I don’t mind the keyboards but why can we still not do exchanges. It causes unnecessary drama at the Service Desk.
