Those two sentences seem to contradict one another. How does not STOing first qualify as using Subt correctly and what then is the incorrect usage? When you Subt something from a location that it is not located in you are giving the system all the information it needs to make a decision on...

And I just recognized that the title of this thread is "Locu'ing baffles". M-Deletes and the LOCU process we were talking about deal with ghosts. I'm nerdy, I know! :(

That would seem to be good evidence that Subt isn't going into BRLA. If you are an A volume store, I would guess that you are probably closer to 40,000 total scans per week then. The impact of even that much use of Subt would theoretically have a proportional effect on BRLA. With those 300-500...

Rock, I agree with everything you are saying. If I implied in any way that it was efficient, I apologize. My point is that it can be EFFECTIVE over the short term, especially if you are having widespread issues with BRLA. It is a band-aid. It isn't something to do all the time and we don't. If...

First off, grats on some awesome results! 99% is awesome! The reason Subt doesn't result in thousands of errors when done incorrectly is that when you scan one DPCI incorrectly it is only logging one single error, not 9999 of them because eaches are not what is measured in that metric. One error...

Haha! No trolling man! It's math. I will leave it to you to read the ibutton on DTK and decide for yourself.

MisterLogistics, you seem "overstressed" yourself! It's not cheating the system to do something that completely fixes all errors, known and unknown, in a location to improve the data integrity in your replenishment process. If the TM's believe they are cutting a corner, so be it! They are in...

The pay scales go in grades from 9 to 15 (I think) for exempt team members at the ETL level. I am a logistics ETL and if you are offered a position you will offered the starting salary for whatever pay grade they feel you are most suited for. The pay grades skip a number, if you start at 9 you...

IMHO I would never discourage anyone from LOCU'ing and reSTOing in my back room! They are doing this to avoid using the M-Delete function because they have probably been talked to about M-Deleting too quickly. So, in their minds if they avoid the M-Delete function then no one can yell at them...

Rock, you may be arguing with the same people I was!! =) Where those people were confused was that they believed that quantities played a role in BRLA. They do not. If you read the ibutton on DTK for BRLA% and look at the formula used to calculate BRLA it reads something close to the following...

Archived Backstock % Driving me crazy.

I would be willing to bet you are running into the problem we had with our staged or "trapped" transition. Most stores trap (or keep un-located) any pre-tied transition for the plano team to come grab easily when they set an area. Those are the ones with a salesfloor location on the pick label...

If you Subt an item from a location that it has not been backstocked into it will read 1 baffle error because you are telling the system that the item you are subtracting was sitting there the whole time un-located. The quantity is irrelevant. It will only ding you for 1 error.

There is a really helpful page on Workbench. In Workbench google search "resetting accumulator". This should help you troubleshoot some of the problems you are experiencing with over-pulling. We have had a number of these issues in my Logistics process during our remodel. Here's an extreme...
