Archived just one of those days.

I just remind myself that I get paid the same whether I stress or not. As long as you do everything you possibly can and are able to justify and explain why you did whatever to your stl or etl then no reason to stress.

Archived what's the diff. between sales floor and hardline?

Uh that's actually not typical. Backroom shouldn't typically be pushing pulls. That's a part of salesfloor's core roles. I've worked at A volume stores and ulv. Both types had salesfloor push pulls

Archived I thought you guys were just exaggerating about these straight out of college ETL's.

She'll probably be out the door pretty fast.

    Archived Dress code wars

Right side is brand. Look at all the target branded Polo's and button ups. They all have the bullseye on the left because you're supposed to wear your tag on the right.

    Archived Dress code wars

Target needs a concrete rule on dresscode. I know some state laws make it a little tricky though. Work isn't meant to be a fashion show. Save that for when you're off the clock. Should be a mandatory tucked in polo, khaki pants, and clean shoes for all team members. Mandatory button down for...

    Archived Black Friday midnight open?

I hope we are open on Thanksgiving. Double time and a half is SWEET.

Archived How come when one certain person does instocks research pulls are massive?

My apologies then. Its been years since I've done instocks. When it was in RF apps this would happen when people didn't toggle for secondary locations.

Archived Did she steal them? Or was it a mistake? Opinions?

I get one shift at guest services a week as gstl to work on paperwork and so I can pull someone to watch if I need to go offstage. I love handling guests like this. Completely shutting them down. Smiling as I give them a guest comment card and refusing to elevate their BS to my LOD.

Archived How come when one certain person does instocks research pulls are massive?

It doesn't mean the person is thorough it means they're too lazy to toggle over to item search and check all multiple locations before zeroing something out.

Archived Defective Service down issue at Guest Service last night

This is a global issue. I called support today and its the first thing that's mentioned. We switched what register we were using to defect and that helped today but I still had a ton of lp's to void.

    Archived Target WiFi

From what I understand its only going to be in food Ave. In a store that's fairly large that's not going to cover the whole store. Our stores wifi install is complete. Ill test it next time I work.

Wow that's clearly just viral marketing. Spot definitely paid him to do this.

    Archived Targets Facebook page..

What did you post? Target isn't allowed to write you up for stuff you do when you're not working, unless it was slanderous or you tried to appear to represent target management.

    Archived Targets Facebook page..

Walmart IS guilty of animal abuse! Have you ever been to one of their stores with a fish department? The condition they keep the fish in are horrible, and how poorly trained the people selling them are. They mislead people into buying fish they don't have proper space or the ability to properly...

Archived TM promoting to Pharmacy Tech.

A close friend from another store was offered a pharmacy tech position earlier and was asking me some questions about the promotion. They said my friend would have to go through a background check process. What exactly does this entail? Is it more thorough than the one we're all given when...

Archived so do STLs actually go to crappy scoring stores willingly or are they forced into it?

Typically if a store is doing bad enough that the dtl needs to clean house they'll put a seasoned STL in place to bring it up to brand expectations. This happened at the store I'm currently at. They brought in a veteran stl and within two and a half years they've brought the store up two sales...

Archived 8 Hours Between Shifts...law or myth???

There isn't a company wide policy on this anymore. There used to be, but I believe they did away with it in 09. Now its based on state law.

    Archived Creepy things GSA's/GSTL's do.

Or if backroom could do their job without whining. You have other things you need to be working on? Yeah, so does the whole rest of the store. Backroom gets bothered the least by guests yet whines the most when they have to do something that wasn't expressly on their list. Also GSTLs aren't...

Archived Am I supposed to tell my GSA/GSTL....

Why don't you take the initiative to take your guest and the flat to an empty lane and ring them up yourself? All sftm's have the ability to ring up guests. You get credit for the RC and you're not clogging someones lane with a flat. Win win.
