You should be able to use vacation hours up to 40 worked hours for that week. The holiday pay shouldn't affect your worked hours so whatever the difference between 40 and what you actually worked can have vacation hours applied.
See if Walmart or another big box store near you is hiring. I've seen people come back who would be listed as "not rehireable" but they had been gone for a few years between.
Why not just quit and take the payout? You have 250 hrs and you'd probably be losing $5 an hour. I'd take the 6 weeks of pay at a team leads rate and reapply at spot later or just look at other retailers if that's what you want to do.
Corporate wants to limit the quantities in the backroom while at the same time sending massive quantities of product that isn't moving. Their response to Covid from a logistics standpoint has been a nightmare for stores.
Uppercase will always be the last thing you pull in the aisle. You'll pull open stock and lower casestock to the end of the aisle. Then you'll star pulling the upper casestock from the end of the aisle to the beginning.
Use the green racks for one for ones. Put some wacos on them and its much more effective and easier to organize than a 3 tier especially for big fill groups like grc2 and snack
Personally I don't see the need for it, at least in food. If you're pulling your 1 for 1s consistently the shelf and any other locations will be full. It's not going to move any faster until it's marked down.
I started as a Food & Bev TL about 6 months ago and it's definitely been the most challenging TL position I've had but I find it the most enjoyable. The most important thing is to work with your team and make sure they're owning their areas. You can't do everything yourself so you want to make...
I've noticed that one for one batches tend to absorb any other batch in the fill group. If I drop a POG batch for cereal and there's already a one for one dropped for GRC 2 or someone drops it before I pull the POG, it just disappears. Not sure if this has the same effect on EXF batches or if...
Ship from store has a lot to do with why stores are getting more and larger trucks. Since stores are pretty much online distribution centers now, they send excess freight to accommodate guests in store and online.
Your ETL will likely have to adjust scheduling if that's a permanent change. They likely have changed their route if it's a different warehouse so if you're used to the truck coming in at 7 and it's coming at 10 the team may have to start coming in later.
Main problem is that preventative maintenance isn't completed. We should be getting in and cleaning the fans in the coolers once a month. Unfortunately in most cases there is too much to do and not enough people to do it that tasks like cleaning get thrown to the wayside pretty quickly. The easy...
