Interesting. I recently went through the interview questions and I had asked for coaching, to which they gave me all 9 questions. Only 1 of those 8 questions (why 8? lol) were even in the packet...
Thanks, that's what I initially thought. "Why are we doing this?"
I told my ETL's if we had the hours and the people, sure lets do it. Why not? However, yea....that isn't the case lol.
Any of you guys that did do the PUSH all test in the past get pushed to work MPGs right away when you bowled out?
Last night we started our first day of our 6 week adventure of pushing everything to the floor. The truck was 2600, with 1400 in pulls. FDC being 375 in frozen and 780 in Dary...
Have either of your teams pushed a 2500+ to the floor? Our trucks are rarely 2000ish and every now and then we see 3k+ (the highest I've seen is 3200). We often see 2600-2800's with a staff of only 16 or so ;\ That's why I'm thinking so hard about my own bowl out process and what I could do to...
Heh, we use carts too. I was thinking of maybe using a flat for the larger areas of the store, such as domestics, plastics/hipa, house wears, etc. since the trips can be longer then say...pets. I guess I'll just have to work smarter, not harder.
Very helpful. I'm normally backroom for this and we're quite pissed we have to now do flows job and then backstock our crap. However, since our backroom members are also our best flow members (lol) I've been moved to the floor for the next 6 weeks since my superiors don't trust our crappy flow...
Well, we just had the CEO walk our store the other day before we start this push. It was the first time he's ever walked this store in particular and we're I believe the only store in the region doing this test. Great -.-
We struggle enough with trucks that exceed 3000 pieces and since I seem to...
I know I made a prior thread some time ago asking if any other stores were doing a PUSH ALL test for the company, but I neglected to ask an important question.
I'm assuming a very low % of the stores are actually partaking in this test, but I was curious if anyone had any advice on how to...
Actually, if you ask your ETL's they can give you the exact questions from the VIBE roll out. Which are the exact same questions used in your actual interviews.
You can use those questions to directly prepare you for the actual interviews. Most of these questions can actually be found online if...
The problem that I see right off the start is that since our store is a high volume store and we will be out of seasonal hiring by February. We will see 3800-4000(+) to the floor every night, not including FDC, which will probably make it close to 5000 every night. This is very possible with the...
Are your trucks relatively smaller? I can see this working without any problems if they're smaller since there is no immediate backstock. I mean, we would be looking at like 400 to 600 less pieces, which would be great.
Also, how is your line set up since you don't need the backstock palettes...
Not sure, I have a lot of questions about those types of things too. That's why I'm mostly posting here about it, to see if anyone else's store is going to be apart of this so called "test".
Any other stores doing a "test" for the company where you push the entire truck to the floor? I heard it from my ETL's and TL's the other night how after January, our 2500-3000 piece trucks won't see any backstock and instead will have to be pushed to the floor to be worked from the get go. I'm...
Just don't rub your bonuses in front of your team!
One of my O/N ETL's the other night was talking about our Black Friday sales and how we're up 7% of the year. How that is great because it'll make OUR bonuses larger. Was very insulting since I won't see a penny of that, it's HER bonus, not...
We had roughly ~30 people in the morning at our store, but I was in the backroom tonight and we had so much left over. Sucks too because my store is a high-volume store, so we're going to be getting all the left overs that the other stores can't get rid of lol....great!
Ohh, I have another question. Sorry for all this!
What constitutes to be price wrapped? Are there different ranges for different departments? Electronics and Home?
