Thank you all for your replies 🩷 definitely gave me a lot to think about. FF is the priority 100% and it’s not on us that our TLs decide to either not schedule enough people or, in my situation, my TL was watching over self checkout instead of helping in FF or working one of the many dry u-boats.

In this instance, it’s the FF TL since the FB TL has been only been at this store for over a year.

So get this: it was busy, right? Lots of opus and all that stuff. I had been in the middle of a second one when my manager called me to tell me that he needed me in market which is understandable cuz we had a lot to do. I very much appreciate your reply and have definitely been considering staying off register so it’ll just be a matter of whether or not I’d be able to.

Got a final warning for being quick changed/scammed/short changed at the register

This whole situation has been a lot to deal with. So - for the rest of my shift, (I work in food and beverage/market) I’m on register which, for the most part, isn’t that big of a deal as it breaks my shift down a bit. Two guests come to my lane and put their items on the conveyer belt (it was...

Should I say no to helping with back up and Grocery OPUs?

I appreciate it. Was considering talking with the SD, but talking with the ETL makes sense.

Should I say no to helping with back up and Grocery OPUs?

My store is a low volume store and, understandably, given that it’s Q4, there’s a lot to do. I’m a F&B team member who was trained to help on register and OPUs. My TL, however, has pulled me off to the side to tell me that because I’ve helped several times that my team is behind. Like, what am I...
