Archived Target security officer fired after reporting shoplifting

Interesting. Solely based on the information provided in the article, it doesn't look too good for Target on this one. Whether the TM actually witnessed concealment or not (the wording isn't quite precise), it would seem that the APS was fired for violating a non-existent policy. APS are not...

Archived Things you MISS from Target

Store-level AP resources (payroll) The old pyramid structure: AP reporting to DAPTLs directly and so on. If I had to choose one thing that has killed AP the most, it is the 2009 structure change. Even moreso than payroll.

I completely agree, but that takes longer to achieve than simply cutting costs.

Archived Gregg is gone (USATODAY Just Reported It)

While I too welcome the departure of Gregg, I think you guys are missing the larger picture here. Profit is opportunity #1. Shareholders and board members want the company back in the green ASAP. This means concerns about team member morale are not very high. That would be the concern of a...

Not necessarily. Only in ULV with TPS.

If you have an opportunity to leave Target, do it now.

And unfortunately the mission is now to get that stock price up as fast as possible, regardless of the long term implications for the company.

PM'd you. Info is too specific and would ID me.

If you have an opportunity to leave Target, do it now.

Major cuts to TL and ETL headcounts are coming to stores across the board. All previous plans for 2014 Org Charts are out the window in light of the recent news about depressed sales. New Org Charts will be released to store within the next two weeks. If you thought Target couldn't cut any...

Archived Big Changes Coming to AP

i want to let everyone know that I recently spoke with an individual in an investigations role who informed me that the director of AP decided not to implement most of the originally discussed proposals this year. there will be no major changes to store AP structure this year. the latest copy...

Archived Big Changes Coming to AP

if you have a plain-clothes person, an APS, then your store will be keeping TPS. if they lose the APS next year, then your TPS will transition to AP TMs.

Archived Big Changes Coming to AP

one of them is. either your store is getting an etl-ap and your tps keeps his job (highly unlikely) or your store is losing tps hours and your APTL will now be an APL.

Archived Big Changes Coming to AP

Pretty much no changes to APL. APTLs will be APLs now by default as all APTL stores will get 0 TPS hours going forward. They're retiring the APTL, Sr. TPS, Sr. APS, and Internal APS positions.

Archived Big Changes Coming to AP

So the idea isn't to have you backup cashier, but to be able to supplement your own hours by working in other work centers if you are part time. and i'm sure cashiering is probably out of the question for AP.

i mean no disrespect but i just want to make the distinction that the info i posted is confirmed while some of what you are posting is not. for instance, IC is not "shutting down" but they are consolidating.

    Archived Business Partners Positions

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ But really. BPs are considered expense centers that generate no real value for their salary. Now of course anyone who has ever had a good BP knows this isn't a fair assessment, but in an Excel spreadsheet, it looks really good to eliminate all these...

    Archived Business Partners Positions

DFM and Food BP are getting eliminated. APBP will likely be eliminated. HRBP is the only one I don't really know about.

Archived Cuts to AP and DFM's

Freely available on SharePoint. They're also reducing the number of Theft Org Charts from 13 to 10 and inverting the risk levels. 13 used to be least risky, now 10 is most risky. Charts 1-3 will have zero APS hours. 4 and up will have some APS hours.

Archived Cuts to AP and DFM's

I highly doubt that considering they cut $11million from TPS payroll for next year. All stores with APTLs will have zero TPS hours (no more "APL" position). Most stores will see cuts to TPS payroll.
