Same. So if it's not really anonymous like they say it is, I didn't say anything that would be a surprise. Don't think anyone at corporate really cares what I think anyway.

    Backroom Accuracy Indicator (BAI)

Well. I'm looking forward to having TMs who make the mistakes being retrained. But as I think @jenna said, there's nothing that can be done to train the unwilling. We have some of those TMs at my store and they make me crazy. There's no accountability.

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Street-dated olives? Sure, okay. What's next? Street-dated toothpaste? Gotta have something to take care of that garlicky olive breath. 🙄

Service & Engagement Changes in return policy?

We have a few comments from guest surveys posted in our break room, sort of a "yay for a great team" thing. Could hardly believe what one of them said, but after reading this comment, I guess it makes sense. A mom was pleased with the guest service she received when returning some Cat & Jack...

    Fdc truck delivery.

Yeah, there's still going to be residue. I'd be surprised if those wiped-off items don't feel sort of sticky to the touch.

    Fdc truck delivery.

How could product with broken egg all over it, or even partially, be pushed? It's slimy and sticky when wet, and it's not good when dried either, especially if there are bits of shell stuck. I wouldn't buy that product.

Weirdest item you’ve seen/had to spider wrap?

Locking up men's underwear, really? What about women's? Some of the individually sold panties are comparatively expensive and would be easy to steal. (Or did I miss the "April Fools"?)

    Absenteeism

Short-lasting yes, but it made me loopy for the whole day. Of course, I don't actually remember being loopy, just what I was told. It seems that I was especially concerned about what time it was, like I couldn't look at my watch or a clock and understand it. I've been a nerd about biology...

    Solar Eclipse

Can't say as I fully understand the fascination, but this is something I could get into! No way would I spend hundreds for an overpriced hotel room in the path of totality (I'm in an area that will be over 95%, close enough for me), but I'd buy a box of eclipse-themed donuts. :)

Yeah, we had a lot of those too, but not so many as your store did. It still seemed like overkill to me.

    Absenteeism

I've read that this isn't as awful as it sounds and am considering it for my next one. (So glad this in one of those every-10-years things because the prep really is awful.) It's only mildly uncomfortable and you can see what the doc sees on the scope, if you're interested and your doc is okay...

Wow. This is all your Easter stuff that didn't sell? We have hardly any left, practically no candy.

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Thank you for stating the obvious. I'm not being sarcastic here. My TL gave me that PPA along with a paper planogram (which was actually helpful this time although I don't often use it much) and after reading it through, I thought, "Well, who doesn't do these things?" I can well imagine some TMs...

MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Except what if it just plain doesn't work? A TM set the feminine care aisle yesterday and asked me about some signage she was supposed to put up. There are 3 or 4 of those banner-style signs that sit on top of the gondola. (Not sure I'm describing that correctly - the sign is not very high...

    Gen X-Target vs Gen Z-Target

Don't think I ever had one of those burgers, but yes that salad with chicken, cranberries, and walnuts was the best. Sometimes the bread was a big soggy, but I didn't care because the salad part was so great. I'd forgotten about that ... might need to make some for myself!

    Companies are closing

The economy in my state is pretty good - low unemployment, new businesses (including large ones) opening, housing developers looking to expand apartment complexes already built, city hall looking to relocate and turn the current location into hotel space. It's not all great, but overall it's...

Who else is having issues with set hours being wrong?

This is how it's being done at my store now. And it makes me crazy. When we had the DBO model still firmly in place, it was so much cleaner. Now, we have some aspects of the DBO model still being used because it works well to have the same TMs always pushing truck in certain areas, but whoever...

    Gen X-Target vs Gen Z-Target

Don't know how long ago this was, but I think this was still being done when I first started. So great to come into a neat store, looking put together and not a mess. Now, reshop is not always but often a pretty big pile first thing (yesterday's was horrendous) and the store is never, ever all...

March 24 2024. Stanley Cup Release

I'm old enough to remember how cool the Sony Walkman was. With little headphones instead of ear buds. On the Stanley topic, I heard two guests talking today about how expensive they were and they were even more expensive online. I agreed with them, that it was really kind of nuts, and one of...

Who else is having issues with set hours being wrong?

Getting back to the original question - no, the POG hours are all over the place. My latest favorite example is Electric Toothbrushes. I think it was listed as needing just over 31 hours to do. My eyebrows went way up when I saw that! It definitely did take a while: new backer paper which meant...
