Ugh. I hope that’s not the case.
My hardware aisles are low gondos and have a cut through to Small Appliances. If packaging is there it’s gonna look so ugly (and probably empty a lot too).
Another idiot decision by this company.
Just marked down a lot of Pillowfort today. Wall clocks and about half my large table lamps aisle also went 70.
I looked closer at the set workload for the next couple weeks. Saw H&H reset, but nothing for my HIPA or DECOR HOME aisles that are going to be empty very soon. This is just wild...
So the majority of my paint, glue, hooks, fasteners, locks and floor protection just went straight to 70% markdown. That's 2 endcaps and nearly 2 full aisles.
This isn't normal. Especially, since I don't have any pogs to replace those with (at least not for another month+).
Anyone else's store...
ODL Salvage dropped Tues for us. Shippers came Tues night. Spent Wed building. Still no signage.
We’re filling in okay, still pretty light across the set, but the majority is done. It’ll be annoying to put the signing up later, but it won’t be as stressful as everything else has been.
now to...
You have to print manually.
Go into pog on device and select each item, add to batch.
It’s not bad, if you have the label strips. Only about 30-40 pegs.
The DC will send when they send. Early or late. I have half a pallet of BTS trans. And 3 pallets of BTC trans (sets 7/17).
There once was talk that the schedule would be that the DC sends after a transition is set. That never really came to be. So we (stores) have to fight to get the work done...
I can’t speak for other store teams, but the only pain about setting BTS is how shipper dependent it is. You’ll certainly have a shit show on your hands if you set and fill without shippers (I learned that one the hard way a few years ago).
So roughly 50% of the BTS pogs need them. Folders...
So, BTS was pushed up 3+ weeks from the original set week to 6/19. Then some suit in my district/group thought that wasn’t soon enough. So they told us to set it this week.
Mind you, the shipper pallets were adjusted up for the week of the 12th to be here for the set on the 19th. So, we’re...
Since Workday was introduced, there has been an elevated approach to improving the learning modules. Obvious money thrown towards better design and layout, along with creating a consistent look. It's better than it's been, but it's still far from where it needs to be.
I've been taking (and...

There’s not much info on why the police fired on the thieves. But, 12 police...
The buyers buy well in advance. I think the average is between 2-3 years lead time (especially if it's seasonal or exclusive).
You can't fault the buyers for doing their job, they didn't know Covid and the freight issues would happen. And with the amount of money spent to buy and build these...
Hot wheels, squishmellows and brightroom cube organizers are clogging our steel.
We’ve had some luck with transfers. I tell my pog team to defect all DCode/clearance that’s found while setting. It’s not a ton, but it’s one less endcap.
I’m hurting on shelving, so trying to build flex end caps...
Currently, I'm guessing, all stores are overwhelmed with excess freight. We're starting to see the influx of all the product we didn't get last year along with all the stuff that was ordered for this year. At my store, our backroom valleys are filled to the gills and our steel space is jacked...
Our shelves go to the ceiling (when we have them). The only change was how we stored them. We used to hang a shelf, then put one upside on it before hanging another. This allowed you to store about 50% more shelves in a column. Now we're only allow to hang them, no stacking. Said it was a safety...
They probably HAVE to expand or remodel as a budgetary requirement or risk paying more taxes or something related to the large influx of money they made over the past 2 years.
Honestly, I think this would be a great time to cut back on full resets and just have fronts be the primary and rears...
Anyone else hurting on shelving? We finished the ODL reset and needed even more shelves than we did for the Christmas set. Then with all the salesplanners resetting, we were stealing wherever we could which was a feat cause of all the flex, dcode and clearance taking up any available shelf...
