    Archived AE2013 discussion

Achieving excellence 2013, it tends to (by "it" I mean any years given AE) be viewed negatively b/c it cuts at a lot of mid-level/low-level management (i.e. ETLs/TLs). It's not near the beast many suggest it to be, but it can be a bit sucky.

If you're at a pFresh (or Super) Target, go spend a couple minutes in the freezer... it's what I do to cool down.

I don't care about my job (or any job) enough to watch as an innocent child is abducted. Those sicko's could rape, or murder that poor kid and I'm not going to stand by and let it happen. At the end of the day I have to look at myself in the mirror and reconcile the things I do in life...

Archived My anonymity may have been ruined..

If they know who I am, they knew it before promoting me to ETL... so either: A) They don't know. A1) That makes them retarded (and as much as some on here may argue, spot isn't stupid). B ) They don't care B1) This is possible because they don't pay nearly as much attention to this...

Archived Why aren't gsa or gstl allowed to go for back up?

Maybe you responded before I edited, but I'll respond anyways. I fully agree that most (not all) cashiers are very inefficient on the sales floor and in a perfect world, they SHOULD leave when the guests are gone, it's sort of wasted payroll otherwise. However, it's not a perfect world, in the...

Archived Why aren't gsa or gstl allowed to go for back up?

Then you should understand why the salesfloor is slow to back up your lanes. If you won't support them when they need help, they'll wonder why they should help you. Don't ask them to be team players if you can't be one yourself. EDIT: I can't speak to your stores payroll, but am simply speaking...

Archived Why aren't gsa or gstl allowed to go for back up?

Nope, perfectly fine day. I absolutely detest when people respond the way that s/he did, not a real response, just some jerky "I know what I'm talking about, but I'm not going to expound in any way b/c I'm totally awesome". If you're going to bother to tell somebody they're wrong, then explain...

Archived Why aren't gsa or gstl allowed to go for back up?

Lol, yes. I'm only an ETL though, so do tell me how to be the LOD Sir, I have no doubt it's part of the Cart Attendenant/TPS learning plan (see: not). 1) If they're simply scheduled until the store closes, that's NOT being scheduled to close. Look at the schedule grid, if you're store closes at...

Archived Why aren't gsa or gstl allowed to go for back up?

God there is so much fail throughout this thread, it's tough to know where to begin: 1) We're a team remember? Keep that in mind as you read. 2) The entire closing team SHOULD leave at the same time, if that's not happening, the LOD is failing. Cashiers, SF TMs, GSTLs, TLs, every dang...

Archived Target, Microsoft, and "Stacked Management"

Not that I'm saying Target, or general corporate management structure, is a perfect methodology, but I'd like to see your alternative option. Also, I don't care to debate you're clearly jaded view of your management, maybe they suck, maybe they don't... lets just let that one be. But your...

Don't sweat it, just keep your eye out and be persistent... good things will happen. As my old commander, and the greatest Soldier I've ever met, used to say, "Failure is a choice. You might not succeed, but if you're trying, you'll never fail."

Take things less seriously, you'll be happier, and you'll live longer. I've lost more than a few friends to war, have spent more than my fair share of time in the land sand and sweat... And I laughed at the previous post.

Lol @ thinking taking orders that don't make sense doesn't apply to the military. Oh the stories I could tell you... and fyi military orders that don't make sense get people killed, at Target it's just annoying. Think before you post, trust me, I learned that one the hard way (or rather...
