Ask your ETL if they would be willing to help transfer you over there. We've done that before for seasonals we couldn't keep but who were good and wanted to stay on.

They wouldn't give you two week's notice if they wanted you gone. Why should you return the favor when generally we need the job more than they need us? I know it's the "right" thing to do, but only because it benefits the big guy...which sucks. That said, I still say do it when you can because...

I think the OP is wondering those who go to school as well as work...good places that will work with a student's schedule.

No employer likes someone who tries to pull the, "I want a raise or promotion or I am quitting." They don't like to be held hostage and it tells them you aren't interested in even faking loyalty, so there's no reason to give in.

I think I'm confused. If the schedule was already up, why would they ask you to take the time off in mytime? You can't ask for time off for a schedule that's already written. They should have either told you to put the shifts on the swap board or taken you off the schedule and dealt with it...

Meh. Seasonal people not showing up are a dime a dozen this time of year. If you're really unhappy, and it's making you sick, then it's definitely time to leave. Just call HR up in the morning, thank them for the opportunity, and tell them you won't be coming back. That gives them a little time...

The OP said he is not in school right now. If you were in school, you could get an educational LOA at my store for an internship. But because you're not in school, that's pretty dicey and could depend on the mood of the ETL team.

This might mean six months of working 7 days a week, where you commute for the five days and work Spot on the weekends. Then you'll still have Spot if you need, but you can still get the valuable contacts and experience that $$$ can't buy.
