    Logistics unload process

For us it's usually the opposite. Unloads start at 12:05AM and we usually finish unloading both trucks around 3:00-3:30AM However this week... Everyone's hours got cut and the unloads are kicking our asses, now we're reaching 4AM-4:30AM!

    Logistics unload process

Man if they want the trucks to be done within an hour, they better make sure the trucks are small because it will be inhumanely impossible to unload a 1500+ truck within an hour... Way too many variables or "obstacles" that'll slow down the truck unloads... Everything from shoddy/unsafe pallet...

    Logistics unload process

I really hope it doesn't change. I'll go back to being a 1:00AM TM, just to avoid the truck! 😵

    Lunch break

I work the overnight hours ... My folks or family used to drop by outside the parking lot, I would have to step outside the store through TSC and and pick up whatever they brought me, buzz the door and that was my routine. It's only a problem if I step outside the store if the ALARM is still up...

When does a seasonal job become permanent?

I think it's right after your first 90 days are up. From that point on, depending on how well you work and stuff your boss may or may not decide to keep you around especially if they feel like they need all the help they can possibly get.

Are corporate visits suppose to be scary?

Your shift leaders just wanna make sure people are "doing what they're supposed to do," avoiding activities that could get a tm fired/term or written up: -standing on pallets/riding on uboats -wooden pallets on the sales floor without pallet jack/pallets or flats on the sales floor during store...

    9 hour shift ugh

I think if you do 10+ hour shifts, you're supposed to be entitled a second lunch. I believe it's supposed to be a lunch meal every five hours, a 15 minute break every 2~3 hours or something I don't remember. So if you're scheduled at 4:00AM You take your first break at ~6:00AM Your lunch at...

    7 hour shift-do they get a 2nd :15?

For me, my boss or my shift leaders have us take our breaks immediately after the truck is done or somewhere around 3:15AM (assuming the truck is done before 3AM)... Then I take my lunch at 4:50AM, I know for sure I will hit my 5TH hour if I do it at 5:00AM, assuming I don't clock in earlier...

Sales Floor Are target employees allowed to listen to music?

At the store I work at... no one seems to care... There's even a few people who bring bluetooth speakers and blast their crap on full volume

Things you find in the break room...

every now and I see someone leaving food (opened) on top of tables or near computers... but never had I seen anyone bold enough to dump their food on top of a water dispenser...

Tell me about throwing the truck…

I don't even exercise or lift weights or anything like that, and my TL's still put me on the truck to unload... Though TBH, I rather unload the truck than be put on the line any day... If you're a TL, you're 99% guaranteed not to unload... But you might end up using a pallet jack/electric jack...

Does your store have a "Backroom DBO"?

When I was first hired at Target, my shift leaders kept mentioning something about a DBO... but our backroom team members quit as well as the cardboard operator... Ever since then i never once hear my shift leaders talk about DBOs The overnight General Merchandise team members at our store...

How much red do you need?

I wear one too, but only because I know at some point my shift leaders may or may not ask me to push in market (refrigerated areas), help unload the market truck... particularly if overnight market team members call off or even push in some other area near the refrigerators... Which happens to...

How much red do you need?

At my store they dont even care/enforce it... You can wear a completely black jacket or a blue shirt and they would never question you... Same thing with pants/jeans that are in different colors Maybe things are different for dayside team members, because for sure in my experiences from working...

    Logistics flexing and capacity/quantity

If the shelf space says 4, fuck it 4 it is. Even if the items are like picture frames I just leave the "shelf space capacity" as is... What bugs me the the most though, is when similar items of the same size and what not say "20+ can fit". Maybe you can fit 20 of them if the label said two or...
