The point you're missing is that certain workcenters can't have "everyone just fill in" because there is usually only ONE other person (or a severely limited number of people) there who CAN work that particular work center while said TM is gone. And like redeye said, you can run into compliance...
Or, you can kill two birds with one stone and email it to a few other people using the email account left open by another ETL....thank god there aren't cameras in that particular room ;)
My "favorite" SrTL came to the pharmacy today and asked if we could help zone because she had someone quit and another person call off so she was short handed. No, sorry, that's "Target's problem, we're CVS." ;)
Wine. Lots and lots of wine. And Xanax....of course, not WITH the wine ;)
Seriously, though....there are days when I just have to walk away. I'll go to the bathroom, Starbucks, FA, anywhere, just to get a few minutes away to compose myself.
I heard we will be getting CVS-issued PDAs, which will be linked somehow to THEIR system, but that could be wrong....I don't think they've exactly figured out those logistics yet...
The other store I work at does as well. We are lucky if we get to use one to check in our orders. We used to have a walkie that we just changed out the battery, but that was taken away from us as well, because "other departments needed it more than we did." Now if we need something, we have to...
this is what I don't get....half of our cashiers will have one when they're scheduled AS cashiers for their ENTIRE shift, but we can't have one in pharmacy???
The ONLY time we get one is if there are "extra" ones available. We used to have one for which we just switched the battery, but were told, "other areas need it more than you do," so we had to give it back. The same with a PDA....we usually just check In our orders manually because "other...
Starbucks is even included more at mine than we are. It's sad that the stores are so divided. :(
Perfect example....I called for change today for one of our registers today at 1 pm. We were literally down to ones, quarters, dimes, and nickels (and a $50.) Called again over the walkie around 2...
Come to my store and try working in the pharmacy and you'll see why I have the attitude I have. We've been treated like the "red headed stepchildren" of the store the entire time I've worked there. We are RARELY included in ANY "store-wide" incentives, huddles, TL meetings, etc. They ask us to...
I "get along" fine with most of the ETLs & TLs in my store & am well respected. I "won't be a Target employee" much longer because I will be a CVS employee, it has nothing to do with my attitude.
Thank you!
We are never "slow," so that wouldn't happen...
I agree. Maybe it's just me (and IDGAF what certain TLs say,) but I wouldn't follow a different department's TLs "directives." Then again, we have some who are on power trips and just want to see how far they can assert their "authority." An ETL, maybe, but that's even questionable. It doesn't...
Not an ETL, but an SrTL. She spends 90% of her time in the office. When she's actually on the floor, she's not really doing any real work, she's just walking around telling people what to do.
I think the pharmacy TL position depends on your ETL. Ours happens to be somewhat of a perfectionist. Definitely the most difficult part (as far as I can tell) of ours is staying on top of earned hours and worrying about the umpteen various scores....
I'll be honest, I have no clue what our "head count" is AFA ETL/TL/TM. What I DO know is that we are losing a pharmacist and the 2 that remain will be working approx 84 hrs/week :\ We will be gaining about 13 hours/week additional tech hours, though....
RE: the "prescreen questionnaire"...before I applied for the Pharmacy Tech position, I tried applying at Kohl's. Even after 4 attempts, I "didn't meet their criteria". There's something SERIOUSLY wrong if I'm not "qualified" to fold clothing at Kohl's, but I can dispense drugs at Target
