    Archived Lead pay bump

HRTM is one of the few positions that lends itself to good experience on a resume. Almost every business out there needs an office manager or someone who can keep things organized. Having a bullshit detector for phone screens is a great skill. Literally no office will care that you can stock...

    Archived Lead pay bump

Informed by my ETL-HR yesterday that I would be bumped to $17/hr. Seems like that's the new minimum. For reasons I won't go into, I believe that is the new PG40 minimum for as long as PG40 stays around and I will be staying at PG40.

    Archived Lead pay bump

I'm a relatively new TL that started at $16. I had my review, but given that they know I'm leaving in about a month or so I was not told my actual score, but my last paycheck showed $16.96, which leads me to believe that I received an ION, despite being given excellent feedback. I suspect with...

Archived What to wear as a team lead?

My store is so lax about dress. As a GSTL I'll wear tie-dye underneath a red zip-up vest sometimes. Though I won't do that on that weekends, or days I know we'll have a visit. Then it's usually nicer jeans and either a red button down or the Target branded polo I have.

    Archived Merit %s

The idea is that if you receive a ION, you should already be on a performance improvement plan. The reasons behind your ION should have already prompted discussions with your leader about what they would like to see improvement on.

    Archived Lead pay bump

Yup same situation here. Been a TL since February, so this will be an almost $7 raise in 6 months after the bump to $13/hr in June.

Archived Applying for ETL, what are my chances?

Honestly I don't really see the space for as many ETL's anymore. HR I see staying for higher volume, as well as LOG (the amount of planning that goes into LOG is insane), but I dont forsee Salesfloor/GE/Softlines/food staying in most stores.

Archived Fellow GSTLs/SELs! Share your daily routines!

Where's your GE? That is absolutely unacceptable for a GSTL to spend so much time off-stage and covering breaks. Why isn't one of your GSAs doing cash office? It's literally one of the core roles of a GSA, not a GSTL.

Archived Team lead day-to-day tasks - best practice?

Do I feel that dude. What started out as what I thought my STL agreeing with me that the day was rough (when you pull a cashier from me at 12pm during lunch rush to do pricing after 2 call outs up front on top of a February skeleton schedule, it's not going to end well), quickly turned into a...
