    Promotion to TL - Pay

In our market, Team Leads start at $24/hour. There isn't typically much wiggle room, unless you have a really good justification. When I moved laterally from GM TL to Closing Lead, back in what? 2018-ish? And became a key carrier, I argued that the extra responsibility of doing the perimeter...

Demoting from a team lead to team member

$8 would be tragic. All things being equal, I could not take that loss. SigningLady, you've been around a long time! I've been with Target 20 years and TL for 16. You must predate that! (sorry don't want to make you feel old, but I do respect company loyalty.)

Demoting from a team lead to team member

I'll just say, I've often contemplated demotion in my most stressful moments, of which there seem to be an inexhaustible supply. Many of my peers have done this, and generally seem better off emotionally for it. What has always kept me from it, other than the pay decrease, has been my...

Demoting from a team lead to team member

It used to be that TLs were generally offered $3 over current wage. So for me, originally, I went from 10 something to 13 something when I promoted. Presumably, if i had demoted, $3 would have been subtracted from my wage. Currently, however, starting wage is $16 for TMs and $24 for TL's. I...

    New Merch Ops TL

At my store, I also lost backroom and rev log. Two of the areas I found most interesting. The trouble is that we weren't being given hours for backstock. Note: I didn't say "accurate" hours, rather, we were literally allocated zero hours for this. We were given presentation, revLog, and...

    New Merch Ops TL

That is more or less in line with how it is in my store as well. Definitely extremely challenging to execute consistently. Especially since they won't let this obsession with 95% PF goal go. If we kept it at 70, those evening fillers could do other things (backroom organization, pricing...

Any idea where they got that figure from? What did you do for sales volume FY22?

    New Merch Ops TL

Our store decided to deviate from that. Doing so has a few benefits. No need to pass off or stage vehicles, which creates its own problems. Person pulling is better positioned to maintain consistency across SFC, SFQ, OH, and BRQ data integrity. Can't speak to the payroll situation, since those...

    New Merch Ops TL

We're not staging pulls. Plan is for the team pulling to work.

    New Merch Ops TL

Merch Ops TL here too. Very excited to own backroom and findability. Definitely two of my biggest passions at Target. The other stuff is cool too ;)

    Team leader

Are the TM's that bring the pickup and drive-up bags out Front End or Fulfillment? If they're front end, then the follow-up question is, does the FF TL direct and coach those TM's? If they don't, then they should not be held responsible.
