Not insubordination. In order to be insubordination, you MUST tell the TM "if you don't do X you WI LL be placed on a cca". This would be a counseling for failure to follow directions. You gave direction and they knowingly went against that. Good luck!

I have seen that if you tell them you don't want something, that is exactly what you'll get. You can turn down a role change, but will shoot yourself in the foot. You'll become the "complainer" and the one who isn't a "team player". Good luck!

How far into position are you? Most of the time you have to be at or near your 18 months. Also, you have to be running a green work center. If you want to move groups or regions, you will probably have to do some sort of interview with your new GVP or HRML.

Around me, if you decline they won't entertain your application again for a while. Spot is one dog that doesn't beg. If you current job isn't stable, is say take a chance at Target, go through the fourth quarter and see what you think. If you don't like it after that, move on. Good luck!

@RetailMgmt this isn't true. I can say that Target is driving ETLs to be " business owners" to dive into making sales and driving a great culture. Ideas like the ones above, are from an older model and not one I've dealt with in years.

You don't have to be a senior before moving to ETL. How long have you been a TL? If they've only been in role for 8 months they haven't hit their 18 months yet so it'd be rare to move them that quickly. It's not your fault you're ready and they're not.

Your HR should have signed off on the form before or was delivered. If they didn't, I would expect the TL and ETL that moved on the CCA without approval will be getting their own talking to soon.

Just be careful. If you're just a team member and you are actively writing the schedule (not just having the ETL/TL explain how and why they schedule like they do) you can get some major hot water. I've been there, just ignore them. Kill them with kindness and work your tail off. You'll get...
