    Archived TL Interview Help

I used to think the same thing. But truth is the experience of the interview made it much easier in future interviews. Try to make the best out of the situation. Talk with the people who did your interview. Ask what you could improve on in the future to prepare you for leadership. And remember...

    Archived Team Lead Pay

Does spot start SBTL at 13. I thought all TLs start at pg11 now. They do at my store and can get raised to pg13 at their review.

Archived If you had to be an ETL

It's only in org 7 ($75+ million/year sales) stores. My store has one. He is basically 2nd in command to the STL. Runs the store when the STL is gone. Day to day the ETL SL, ETL HL, ETL SF OPS answer to him at my store. He also works closely with the ETL GE. It's like the SR TL of ETL positions...

Archived If you had to be an ETL

I said AP because I like what I do now. But ETL Food and SR ETL Merch (which wasn't listed) would be tied for a close 2nd choice. Remodel ETL is a pretty nice gig too.

Archived Do you really have to wait 18 months to move to another TL role?

The 18 month rule is something I've seen some stores have a hard stance on while others would bend the rule as needed. It really depends on your leadership and how willing they want to work with you. I've seen it happen a few times where a TL has been allowed to switch TL roles under 18 months...

Archived Prospective ETL, questions about religious accommodations and grooming.

At my store ETLs rotate weekends and have a set day off during the week, almost always either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The day off during the week is always the same every week. It might not be the same at all stores, but I'm pretty sure that's standard for the company. If say you got...

Archived Price Accuracy TL - advice....

Depends on volume. My store still has separate TLs for pricing and pog. But we are very high volume and overnight store. Our pog works overnight and pricing during the day. Being over both POG and Pricing has to be the toughest TL combo in the store. I think POG alone is difficult enough to run.

    Archived Should I quit?

3 years or 30 years. It doesn't really make a difference if someone wants you gone.

    I don't think I've heard PETER.

Archived Got passed over for a promotion because...

Couple things.... APS are not in every store, in every district at least. In fact there are only 4 in my district, and two of them are actually at one store. That store is known to have more people stealing than shopping, averaging 175+ apps a year. Some are deployed to other stores depending...
