Archived SrTLs in the new Ops Model

What happened to you guys exactly? I'm interested in learning how SrTLs were transitioned into the new ops model that eliminated the SrTL role formally. Did you get to keep your pay? Your key/access rights? Did you have first dibs on the closing lead role? Would love to hear any experiences.

    Archived Workday

See but when I log in and try to type anyone's name that isn't under my direct team, their info doesn't populate in the initiate performance discussion box. So I don't see how I would coach outside of my team, without needing to partner with their TL. Which honestly I think is common courtesy...

Archived GSA as a stepping stone

I was GSA for about a year before being a GSTL. At my store every free GSTL spot gets filled with a GSA. One of them is put in the pipeline and thought of as the organic first choice for GSTL. I've not seen GSA switch to any TL role other than GSTL but I'm sure it happens. To be the GSA that...

Archived How do you find out if you passed the TL interviews?

I knew I passed from the reaction my HRBP gave me at the end of the interview, but she purposefully didn't outright say it. My STL told me I passed the following day. Nowadays I guess people don't get sent out to district anymore, so I'd imagine get told immediately if not a day after...

Archived Youngest leadership in your store?

I feel like it depends on the geographical area...I'm sure some have enough hiring options to go for the younger leadership (which I think is targets preference) but otherwise they 'settle' for more mature folk. One way to do business I guess.

    Archived Guest Service Focus

Yup, same exact message in my store. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of standing around.

Archived Been asked to be a TL, should I do it?

I know of TL students who are able to do 30-32hrs/week. For sure possible.

    Archived Salesfloor Team Lead

What are the store hours for a case like that? I'm having a hard time understanding how you even have enough key holders or LODs to run the store.

    Archived Annual TL Reviews 2016

That's terrible I'm so sorry. ;; I didn't have anything happen too bad luckily but I just typed it in the box and clicked that little save button constantly. (It did freeze on me once so I'm glad)

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Archived GSA who's awful with Red cards

Front End leadership that does well with RCs can do no wrong. The opposite applies as well unfortunately. Can always do games, put cashiers in competitions with one another, get to know how each person likes being recognized. Some will LOVE attention over the walkies and others might shudder...

Archived Is becoming a GSA worth it?

My store is the same. I mean look at my signature, GSA works for some as a great stepping stone to TL.

Archived How long did it take you to become a GSA?

Took me 2.5yrs...but target was my first job while in high school so I had a LOT to learn and I was young. Plus I had to wait until I graduated and started college so that my availability was better. 4 days open or more would be good, but I've seen GSAs with both more and less open availability...

    Archived GSTL Pay

Yeah, really all we get is moments where there are enough cashiers. Moments When it comes to the main point of the topic...I'm in California and have been able to get to 35k/year. But I also have basically no expenses most of my money is just savings.

Archived ETL/TL heirarchy: To whom do you answer to?

Well, basically any TL can direct any TM, any ETL can direct any TL, and so forth. Just tends to be focused on their own departments. As a GSTL though, I find myself directing other departments TMs all the time.
