    We have a Starbucks + Market TL (no cafe at our store) and she rocks it. She is lucky enough to have a particularly great TM that can run Starbucks when she's not at Starbucks, and a great TM that can run Market when she's not at Market.

    That being said, if there isn't a position open, you won't be made one any time soon. My leadership won't even put me "on the bench" for Team Lead right now, because they don't know what's going to happen with the TL number with the leadership restructuring that's happening in January/February.

    But I also heard they're getting a pay bump. SrTLs, that is. I mean, I'm not sure when it was supposed to happen, and how this will affect it, but if not, at least they'll still get the 40 hours a week. $15/hr is great...if you get scheduled more than 25 hours a week...which I don't always do.

    Definitely speak to an TL or ETL that you feel comfortable with first, even if they aren't necessarily your immediate supervisor. Technically, my ETL is the ETL-SF and my TL is the SrTL-SF, but so far, I've discussed it with the ETL-log because she's the one that I have a better rapport with.

    Oh, he wasn't happy about it. The "certified" plumber he had to call in took 14 hours to do a job that should have taken 30 minutes.

    Uh...ASANTS, but our PMT wasn't allowed to do a certain plumbing job at our Starbucks because he isn't a certified plumber. Insurance wouldn't have covered it if something had gone wrong, apparently.

    Archived TLs taking long breaks?

    My TLs usually only take the 31 minutes. And they leave their walkies on in case they're needed. Especially the PMT. I'm not a TL, but I leave mine on because I've been needed during breaks/lunches because softlines is its own circle of hell.
