I’m out of lemonade only but to be fair, our trucks have been inconsistent for the past few years so our strategy has been ordering mass amounts and then being able to go at least 3 weeks between orders, because our trucks get delayed/orders cut that badly at least 3x per year.

My SD calls out recognition at the beginning of weekly meetings, and the team leads shout each other out as well. It’s a really high pressure environment, so we make sure to recognize each other frequently.

Those of you who don’t have walk-in freezers, do you have dedicated space for frozen food in the consumables freezer?

I am a TL also looking to transfer being held back by the 18 month “rule”. Sometimes it’s a mental health and burnout issue, not an inability to do the job. Especially in high pressure environments… I could stay where I’m at and continue to excel (and raise the bar constantly as I’m expected...

Okay, should we pour hot water down the drains at the end of the night (after cleaning them) to prevent fruit flies or pour ice down them? Which works better? And what about the sinks?

At my store there are usually 2-3 leads present at closing, Fulfillment, myself, and closing, but it’s not typical in the district. Honestly, it’s been a smart move recently.

I’m almost a year in and still constantly overwhelmed. There is no good in maintaining high standards in my store, there is only good in constantly raising the bar.

Has anyone had a problem with the refreshers staining your pitchers?

The last few replacements have not been announced ahead at mine but I assume it’s due to the amount of people at my store going for the positions.

I wanted to give an update... I took a two week vacation (I hadn’t in the year I’ve been a TL) and got a couple of my medications adjusted and things are much better! Thank you all for your encouragement and advice!! I’m definitely learning how to set better boundaries with work now.

Working through the pandemic has left every other team lead I know really burnt out and on edge. I have some time off coming up, so does anyone have good advice for resetting and maintaining not being burnt out as a leader? I know good routines at work, good self care routines, and setting...
