Be versatile Be really good at your position, but good at others. Engage your ETL and your TL about becoming a TL in the future. Keep your attendance good. If they ask you to stay longer, or come in on your day off, do it. Most importantly, be cool with the leaders in your building.

Our VMTL still leads the beauty department, she still oversees the cosmetics TMs and shit. And I wish someone would say a PMT isnt a TL for whatever reason they have.
