    Archived Dedicated stockers

I agree that cookies, drinks, etc. work well. After a big unload, bring something in for the team, out of your pocket. (In the end, you will be rewarded by them working harder, not all but many) Also, I have noticed that team does better if you bring something from outside of Target as getting...

    Archived Senior HR TL

Tip #1-You can't be anyone's friend. The moment you do, you will be burned. This doesn't mean you can't be friendly but you can't do any favors and have to treat all equally. Tip#2-The ETLs will push you around since you are below them in title ranking. This is hard on you when your title...

Archived How Does Leadership deal with “Their Own” in regards to attendance

Like HR Zone stated, if a leader (Tl/srTl or ETL) comes in late but stays late or takes calls when they aren't LOD, then it is not looked at thoroughly unless a consistent pattern. However, at this current time, we have 2 TLs with issues. They have been coached just like other TMs. If they...

Archived Right people in the Right position?

IMHO TLs and ETLs are burned out quick. It is too much to ask them to take leadership duties but in the end, many of them are doing nothing more than daily TM tasks. Plus, all the garbage Corporate feeds them at the Business College is lies, pure lies!

Archived Youngest leadership in your store?

@Targetcar- Whereas I am sure you are deserving of your promotions, this is the problem with Target and leadership. I have met some really nice 20 something leaders but let's face it, who cares about nice? In reality, a 20/30 year old cannot lead a group of people for various reasons including...

    Archived TL Issues

Why do you care what others think of you? If you are content being where you are then punch the clock, do your job and go about your business. . . You can always opt out of chats.

    Archived Salesfloor Team Lead

I have seen this before in another store I worked. It means that there is no duplicate key carriers in the building except for about 1 hour around end/start of shifts and that basically when 1 key carrier goes home for the day, the other starts their shift. In other words, you better recap...

    Archived Team Lead Pay

Everything Xanatos stated. Then also ensuring they are at time clock exactly at 40 hours so when they are being talked to by an ETL for 5 minutes about workload, etc. they always get .03-.20 hours of OT per week. You know .20 doesn't look so bad as it is not even 20 minutes of OT but if done...

    Archived Team Lead Pay

ASANTS but at our store-the newbies are hired around $14/15. We then have some making $21/$22 which is about the upper end for us. One of our more senior TLs did a great job and hogged time through out the year. This person made roughly $49,800.00 (close enough to $50k) in 2016. Way to go as...

    Archived ETL Salary Question

FYI- Most ETLs don't leave b/c of they pay. They leave b/c what is expected of them vs what they are told to expect as an "assistant store manager" differ. If you like work/life balance, an ETL position is not for you.
