    Archived NEW ETL yay!

This thread reminds me of the girl I saw at my college graduation 5 years ago who had a gem studded Target logo on her cap. Not site if it was for an ETL position or Corp (pretty school had a pretty big fashion design major) but I wonder if he Target career panned out.

Archived ETLs sitting in their offices all day

I don't know why someone would want to stay in 12x10 ft office all day. I would go nuts. My new STL is awesome; always on the floor, zoning, doing work, talking to people, etc etc. In fact, none of our leadership spend time in their office that much.

I do the same thing too but I usually say "I'm fine, how are you today?"

Archived It's that time of year...team member/self reviews!

What's funny is you often get reviews that will have EX checked off for everything, but because they have to downgrade, the final grade will be E or even IE; they don't bother changing the actually review, just the final grade.

    Archived ETL Offer

I was thinking about this the other day. Since I started Target in college I worked weekends and did enjoy my two days off during the week (After a while I had Thursdays and Sundays off constantly). I've been off weekends for a year and a half and I definitely like it more. I'm more in sync with...

Reminds me of this scene from the Simpsons (a shame I can't find the full version).

Oh, one more thing. @Mhugh220 is a former LOG and could probably give you the best advice.

    Archived ETL Offer

Note that if and when you get your own store as an STL, you might have to move elsewhere. My Sr. had to move from PA to MD (not that far) but still if you're the type to stay in place, they're put you where ever they need you. I think they also pay relocation costs. Interestingly enough, he...

    Archived ETL Offer

Someone can answer this, but I thought ready-for-STL-but-external get a Sr. ETL position which is higher than PG13. I know my Sr. Merch was external with about the same experience as you and got his store within 18 months. Of course, that was a few years ago. That is a very tough predicament...

    Archived tl and Facebook.....

Back when tagging people by typing names of them in the status box was pretty new, a TM posted a status directing other TMs to a certain type of vaguely related store drama. The conversation was going fine (maybe about 20 posts in) and then the TM posted a comment tagging another TM in to get...

Archived choosing target as my intership????

If you hate Target now, working at Target for double the pay doesn't make it double the fun. I suggest you look elsewhere for your internship. Gotta tell you, NOT getting my internship through Target was probably the best thing that ever happened to me in hindsight. I have a job in my field, and...

Archived My TL resigned and their position has not been filled. I think I'd do a great job.

I agree. Enjoy your life the next 4 years; don't waste it away stressing over Target. I am 100% sure you will look back a couple of years after you graduate college and will look between integrity (I had a balanced life in college between work and friends) or despair (I wish I was more social...

    Archived Solid Pfresh Inventory Routine?

I've done it like 11 or 12 times? We have 3 people. Get those section labels printed out as soon as you come in and cut them all up. My TL always has those red, thick markers for us to mark boxes and check the section labels. I don't think the section label numbers are actually tied to their...

    Archived HQ investigation

Our store received tons of complaints from the hotline and other means. Target actually flew HR executives in from Minnesota to talk to us and investigate. It does happen. Also if there's an issue that can be traced to the higher levels (let's say a DTL telling his staff not to hire a certain...

Archived Recent Grad ETL Hiring Process

I heard, from on here, that someone got fired as a TM in one district, applied as a ETL and got the job in another position. I think they're more independent than you may think.

Archived How to have a productive closing?

Don't have advice but you may want to remove your name and generalize your location. This is not a Target sanctioned site and we don't want anyone to get in trouble for posting here.
