Archived If leave company, how does it affect your health insurance?

That depends on the company. My main job covers 75% of the employee cost + 50% of dependents. My wife's job covers a flat $225 a month regardless of who all is enrolled. Enrolling our entire family in her insurance would have come out to almost $900 coming out of her check.

Pro rated means it's scaled based on the % of the previous year you worked for Target. If your hire date was 6 months into the year, the raise is cut in half compared to what you would have seen if you worked the entire year.

Getting a kid with an art degree that has literally not worked a single day in his life (we had one once) spouting "Brand brand...

It would take an average of 115 hours per week (almost 17 hours a day, every day) @$20/hour to make $120,000 a year. He's not working as much as you think he is. Most ETLs work 50-55 hours a week. Their standard scheduling is 10 hour shifts. Sometimes they stay an hour or 2 later, sometimes...

    Archived Asking for a Raise.

Raises are only doled out annually (Apr-May) or when promoted. That's it. Now, since you had only been with Target for about 6 months when the annual raises went out, your last raise was prorated to about half of what you would have gotten had you worked there a full year. You should see a...
