Merit Raises & Reviews: 2023 Edition

These raises are also painful considering everyone in our store was making a minimum of $4/hour above base on the weekends back in 4th Quarter 2021. I know that was temporary pay but damn those were some decent paychecks for a short time. 😂

    Cut Hours

    1. Make sure your Desired Hours survey is updated for 40 hours 2. Open up your availability If you've already done #1 and #2, then use myTime to see any available shifts you can pick up to increase your hours. They might be checkout advocate or fulfillment shifts, but hey, it's something. If...

    When "Should" schedules be posted

Your SD being on leave is probably part of the issue, but it still shouldn't be this bad. At this point, honestly, I would pull up the TM handbook on Workday (when I pull it up as a PDF it's on page 27...see below) and meet with the ETL-HR. Show them this and then get an answer as to why your...

    When "Should" schedules be posted

Paper schedules "should" be posted 10 days out every Thursday by noon. There are some circumstances where payroll or workload is not finalized for the week they are posting, or ETLs are just on vacation, causing a small delay by 1-2 days. But, this shouldn't be the norm. The myTime schedule is...

    I wasn’t scheduled a full week

Talk to your TL or ETL. It's possible someone wrote a training schedule for you and it just didn't get keyed properly. They can also show you how to download the myTime app. You can use that to check for available shifts to pick up and to fill out your desired hours survey, if you haven't already.

    Open availability?

Our store is so understaffed that open availability is the least of our concerns. Our minimum requirement is "some" availability on the weekends. Beyond that just depends on the workcenter and where the biggest needs are hours-wise. Most areas need more openers and mid-shifts. It's pretty easy...

    New Offer Letters $16/ hour

Anything above $15 right now is going to be on a store-by-store basis, depending on turnover rates, staffing levels, and local market pay. Our store got a $2/hour temporary shift differential that we were told will last until Jan 2. This is on top of the company-wide $2/hour weekend...

    ETL Weekends

This is not new. It will vary by store and district. For years my store would always split weekends during Q4. So half of the ETLs/TLs would work every Saturday, and the other half would work every Sunday, with all hands on deck for Black Friday weekend/Christmas weekend.

When is your schedule posted on the wall?

Lol my store still hasn't posted the schedule for Aug 8-14 yet.

When is your schedule posted on the wall?

This. Our MyTime shifts often get edited well after the new schedules are available to see online. Our schedules for 7/11-7/17 are still not posted on the wall yet. Even though we can see the schedules online, we are told never to go by those because they are still very likely to change.

    Benefits for returning team members

If you want to go back full time and don't want to be TL+, I would recommend applying for Fulfillment Expert. That is the one workcenter that seems to have a bottomless bucket of payroll and every team member with open availability is consistently scheduled 40 hours for.

    $16 per Hour

What is that, one TM per store? Lol. Just think about that one TM (non-TL) that's been at your store the longest amount of time. That's who they must be talking about!

    $16 per Hour

Individual stores will often increase base pay in order to remain competitive within the area. Happened at my store a few times before the company rolled out their "$15 by 2020" plan a few years ago, which involved base pay increasing at all stores annually over the last few years.

    Salary expectations of SETL

Those numbers seem pretty on par. I was offered an ETL-Logistics role 4 years ago (turned down due to multiple factors at the time). My offer was for 53K. B-Volume store in the Midwest. I'm guessing 60K would be on the low-end nowadays.

    OT + Shift Differential

    Thanks, Ash!

    OT + Shift Differential

HR Experts, With the $2 shift differential in effect, does anyone know if OT is being calculated based on the "regular" rate with shift differential added after, or if the OT rate will be based on the higher shift differential rate. In many people's cases, it will only be a difference of...

    Schedule Timeliness

Does your store’s paper schedule get posted on time?

    Schedule Timeliness

Can anyone with a current version of the TM handbook confirm if it still outlines when schedules are supposed to be posted? My 2013 version states that "schedules are posted each Thursday by noon, 10 days before the first day on the schedule." My store has been somewhat lax about this for the...

    Archived Average Hours

Finally got an answer from TMSC on this. In case anyone faces a similar situation in the future, just know that your average hours must be at least 19.5 during the open enrollment period in January. My average was below that threshold at the time, so even though they've since increased, my...

    Archived Holiday Pay

I'm loving this week. I was scheduled for 26 hours and am now up to 48 hours because of call-outs and NCNSs. My ETL-HR about blew a gasket when she ran the projected OT report on Tuesday, until I reminded her that Thursday was holiday pay.
