Yeah I am assuming it is intentional and I calculated what I would need to get my average over the 19.5 needed, and it turns out to be 24.67 for the next 12 weeks (until November). I would never get 24.67, because we only get four hour shifts, and even with 6 of those a week, I still wouldn’t...

My store is doing everything it can do I DO NOT get to 19.5 average. It may not be intentional, but it’s funny I’m scheduled 20 hours three weeks a month and 16 hours for the other week. Obviously this drops the average below 20. I need the time in November for spousal child care, but I doubt...

    Archived why target cut hours

KMart tried this over 10 years ago with MyGofer. Needless to say, it didn’t work out. Yeah good luck Target.

Yeah that’s the norm at Target now it seems. Our flow team comes in at 6, leaves at 10. A few times a week the lead will ask one or two of the flow team to stay until 10:55, but still most of the stock just sits there if it’s not finished by 10am

Well it’s more upsetting that people who are seasonal (come October) will be walking in off the street making $15, while right now I’m making less than that, getting short shifts and being given more responsibility.

So if the minimum was say $35/hour you’re saying doctors lawyers nurses and architects would apply to work at Target? People who go to college don’t typically apply to Target after gaining a degree in higher education.

There is no demand for more employees at my particular target though. I get roughly 16-20 hours a week. I could work three more 4 hour shifts and still not be legally “full time” so I don’t see the demand for hiring anyone else. Just give me the extra 8-12 hours (or someone else). The entire...

Glad they spent all that money on Kronos o_O On a side note, it would also be quicker and easier to submit vacation and time off requests on old fashioned paper.

$22/hr. ???? Seriously?? For working at Target? There are people at my store who cannot spell or stock by color and have zero interpersonal skills and work on the sales floor.

I just want to be there to see how much more prices go up when the $15 wage goes into effect later this Fall.

Working in 78+ degrees in pants all summer soaking wet inside a store trying to push freight isn’t exactly comfortable is all I was saying. Banning shorts doesn’t improve production.

If someone plans to work at Target, they need to realize they will most likely NOT get full time hours. If you are lucky enough to apply for a full time position once you are established, that would be the only way to get full time hours at Target.

I worked at Kmart for a number of years before they shut down my store. Target is doing the EXACT same things that Kmart did before they closed. Target gets all good news stories for raising minimum wage to $15 at their stores, but they are ignoring everything else that is happening internally.

Equal to who? Everyone has a different work ethic and different experience level. Everyone cannot be paid “equally” either.

Archived Is anyone else able to see their schedule online right now?

I have tried to get my schedule online numerous times in the past, and it’s fairly frustrating. There’s no “direct link” really, and I find myself logging in numerous times.

I’m not going to waste time on people telling me to get more jobs or that I don’t bust my ass. I’ll take the $15, but I’m just not for my lazy co-worker getting it as well
