@Target NPC, also check to see if you're listed as a smoker. That caught me by surprise and I had an ordeal just to prove I'm no smoker!! That and it took a huge chunk out of my checks. Something definitely sounds off and that might be one of the decrepinces.

It might depend on the cost of living in your state. I don't think it really has to do with "old" vs. "new"

Also to make it easier upon yourself, enroll in direct deposit as so you would not have to "physically" come to your store to pick up your check, it would already be deposited into your bank account.
