    Like others have said your best bet is to request the time you need off and then speak to your ETL the day of or day before they write they schedule and tell them you are available to work. Most of the time they see time off and don't bother to see if you have any availability that day.

    How does this work? Right now if you work a 40 hour work week and work on a holiday you can technically work 48 hours and it not count as overtime. Is this still the case? Or does it just mean if you are under say 25 hours you don't qualify for the time and a half pay?
