What do you think will happen when we go to $15 an hour?

Target is doing fine. And all stockholders are taking a bath right now.

What do you think will happen when we go to $15 an hour?

Same probably, with less flexibility on hours to schedule. My guess is the real rub will show up with call outs, and no one is called in to replace.

    3-Hour Shifts, normal?

One sly way to stop this is call out. It didn't take HR much time to figure out folks weren't going to drive too far for 3 hours.

Anybody else expected to do TL stuff as a cashier?

Modernization means all service advocates will be able to do former GSA tasks. I like it. These aren't hard tasks. And it's so nice to not be micromanaged. We will get 2 raises next year....to 15 by end.

Ask a TL or HR for help. It's not a user friendly system.

    Archived Pay increasing, hours decreasing

Granted, my store appreciates my contributions, so this may not apply if you are one who is in the doghouse, but I find that beyond first quarter when we are all on short hours, I will end up with 30 plus hours if I do the following. Show up for scedule. Amazing how many don't. Pick up extra...

    Archived Pay increasing, hours decreasing

All jobs suck. It's work. And being unemployed sucks. Lol...I'm old. I know. Target's plan is to survive the retail acopolypse. So far, so good. For me, fewer hours for more pay is perfect. For others, no. You just have to find a job that works for you.

Archived quick question about schedule changes within a week

Kronos has malfunctioned for 2 weeks. Plus with changes going on, the print schedule has been worthless. You aren't alone. It's companywide.

    Archived why target cut hours

I speculated that call outs were increase when shifts were shortened. I guessed right. Younger workers will blow off 4 hour shifts. I just make sure to respond quickly when asked to come in to cover. Sure enough, my hours are going back up to decent.

Archived Promised near 40, but not getting it

HR lied, and you have every reason to be disappointed. It was wrong. It was bad management practise. There's no excuse. HR in the field often is not well versed in how to hire and retain good employees. My guess is that they will be phased out soon.

    Archived Clopening

It's thw best example of why labor laws are needed. Totally unnecessary to not have a program that automatically avoids this. Plenty of employees so rarely need this. But they can and so they do.
