Archived Costco is coming to town...

Yes, but all of them reap the benefits.... when the unionized costco's make a union contract with the company, most of the contract applies to all the stores.

Archived Costco is coming to town...

Here they start at $15/hour for cashiers. Everyone wants to work there and NO ONE ever quits. I shop there, and have seen the same people there for years. That's half the problem getting in.

Archived Costco is coming to town...

Good luck with getting on at Costco.... I have been trying for years. You have to remember that Costco sometimes pays their version of TM's as much as ETLs.... in other words, they can demand (and they do) the best of the best. What I have heard is that since the economy is so bad, Costco is...

Archived Rate that correlate with the pay grades

I completely disagree with what you said.... that requiring a degree for an ETL position is ridiculous. What I think is ridiculous is allowing *any* degree. It would make sense to require business administration degrees, retail management degrees, law, etc. Not psychology or chemistry or...

    Archived Holiday pay

Only TL's and above get paid for holidays they don't work. It *used* to be that specialists also got paid for holidays they don't work. Not sure if the TMs who now fill the old specialists roles get the same deal, but I doubt it.

    Archived Asking for a Raise.

Then dude, sorry, but you have no one to blame but your self. The vast majority of people do not have a degree. You have a huge advantage and you are working with high school grads and drop outs. That (and all the excuses above) tell me you really don't want anything better. At the very...

    Archived Asking for a Raise.

You need to be realistic. Most office jobs require a degree. Secondly, most office jobs require related experience. (and that's not retail) That's why you've been looking since 2010. This is just like a TM at my store who says if he changes jobs it's going to have to be "worth it" to him...

Try doing that without a degree. See what happens.

    Archived Team Leader Pay

Lol you guys need to stop tricking the TMs on here. When I promoted to TL, I was making a little over $10/hour. Unlike most people on this forum, I know how much TL's make, I was one. There is no TL anywhere in the company that is *starting* at $16+/hour. Even $14 or $15 starting is...

Archived Flow: Came in at scheduled time, told not to clock in

This is where your ETL screwed up.... no, Target does not have to pay you and can tell you not to clock in if they don't need you. They can tell you to go home and forget about work that day. *However*, they cannot keep you in the store or tell you to wait outside in your car. If they do...

Archived B/R to Electronics pay question

Ok, I think the problem is we are confused about exactly what job title you have. Are you just a regular sales floor TM that store leadership has told you they are going to schedule you mostly in electronics? Or are you actually filling the role that the old electronics specialists used to do?

Archived B/R to Electronics pay question

Believe it or not, it is actually a drop in pay.... You are talking just a regular electronics TM, right? It is pay grade 3.... the same as a cashier or any other sales floor TM. The lowest pay grade.
