I heard a rumor there was gonna be to another dollar base pay increase soon, but I really doubt it. Anyone else hear anything?

    Archived Vision benefits

I feel silly asking this, but was vision benefits part of the open enrollment? I saw a sign up in TSC, but I didn't see anything about signing up for vision. I just did the same stuff from last year so I didn't look too close, but I was thinking about getting a 2nd pair of glasses if it was cheap.

base was 10 when he said it. I would be surprised if he was hired to fill in, because there's multiple GSAs and we just hired a GSTL, even with him there.

There's no pay negotiation for experience, is there? I had a GSA tell me that he makes $15/h. I know that he's been a manager at other places, but I think he's just talking out of his ass to make himself feel more important.

Well congress is thinking about lowering the 401(k) pretax contribution limit from 18k/y to 2,400/y. If it happens, converting to a Roth IRA isn't just a suggestion anymore, it's basically mandatory.

I overheard my VM complaining to an ETL that they had lost all their TL privileges. They felt like since they were told it was just a title change, they were blindsided. Sounds rough.

I'm still vaguely confused. I'm electronics. $10.73/hour. Store is base rate $10. Will I move up to $11.50 (base+.50) or 11.73 (base+.50+review)? Will backroom team members really be changed to base? I don't really understand the job differential.

Its very store to store. Some stores are not doing that, and so people are annoyed.

You shouldn't have to click "new fund" anywhere, so I'm not sure where the breakup is. Maybe we have different menus. There's nothing particularly wrong with actively managed funds, but if your ROR minus fee is <~7%, you're paying them to lose you money. Edit: I checked and its hewitt at .4%...

First, go to the Savings & Retirement tab. Click your Target 401(k) to show your RoR, investment strategy, etc. Click the arrow button right above where it shows your current mix. A pop up will show "Change Investments" as a link. Then click fund performance.

The lifecycle funds are partially an index fund, but with some changes to avoid sharp total catastrophe in case of a crash. It's incredibly difficult for an actively managed fund to beat an index fund after fees. I'm not sure how much they want to charge you, but the fee for the lifecycle is...

    Store Paygrades

That's so crazy! We lost >half our electronics team members in a like 5 month period and they never hired anyone, but then hired to full all at once. I wonder if they were told to wait for the lower pay grade? I think about 3 weeks ago. Considering that you have so much more to do as an...

If anyone is looking at this, there's a fund after you click change my investment where it shows fund performance. You can see how all the options performed this year. The tl;dr is that the equity and real estate choices are high risk/reward, the lifecycle is low risk/medium reward, bonds are...

I saw someone in another thread mention that electronics is now just base pay. Have you heard about this?

Yeah I was reading that super wrong. I thought each paygrade was just +.25, but there's a jump. My bad!

So if base is $10, hardlines TL makes $11.25? That seems... very low. I always figured they were 13+
