Archived Do Paycards work like red cards?

There have been some issues with my bank and getting a redcard. So I am wondering if using a paycard works just like a redcard?

Most likely, there will be no 5% discount (correct me if I'm wrong). BUT if I were to switch to getting a paycard instead of direct deposit, I would be allowed to use my employee discount, correct? I can't with my normal debit card.

ALSO: would I be able to use it just like a debit card? Would I be able to get cash back, have checks if I wanted?

I would avoid getting a paycard personally.
They have a bad reputation for hidden charges and it just seems like you should be able to get a red card set up.

Get the credit card and pay it off every week (or day, if it's easier for you).

This. One of my team members uses one of those because she can't handle banking. The fees add up, very very quickly.
