Serious reply, it should be safe on store Wi-Fi. The big thing to remember is don't share identifying info.

Yeah, I don't think corporate is putting a whole lot of effort into monitoring the "anyone can connect" guest WiFi in stores. Given how much some of us browse this site at work I think we would have found out by now.

I'm sure it's entirely possible someone could figure out who's connecting and posting on here through the store wifi if they really wanted, but I would imagine they'd need a pretty damn good reason to bother actually taking the time and effort to do so.

Just don't give anyone enough of a reason to care what you post here. Same goes with any other internet forum you don't want your real name/info connected to.

TBR is blocked on guest wifi at my store, I think.

Spot wifi does have a security issue now. Be careful.
That shouldn't be an issue. If the handshake works, and you don't get an encryption error, you should be safe.
EDIT: With that said, surfing outside of any site that doesn't use encryption, you should be careful.

I work in IT Vulnerability and Forensics. In order for Target to sniff your Wifi traffic on store Wifi, it would take a major effort on Target's side. Plus, thebreakroom.org website is on a secured protocol. Its possible if given the right equipment and software. But Target would need to know your device name, your account info, and prove it links to you. Plus the time and effort for an IT investigation.

Best advice don't advertise you location, name, or anyrecent incidents to personably ID yourself.

I didn't want to say anything since I'm still in my IT forensics classes, but yeah, it's a lot more effort than it's worth to snoop your web traffic and dig through the info. If you're actually doing what you claim to, you'll be probably be caught and fired through sheer stupidity in the store instead of through shitposting on this forum.

anything being given to you will also take from you. you know all those routers in the ceiling they are set up in a grid when you go from one area to another you connect to another router. That being said they can pull the store wifi reports fairly easy they see you accessed this site in your store at the times you posted. then they will know what device and can even pull what area in the store you were in. I have seen it done once before and it can be done if you piss off the wrong higher up. I imagine a lot of work for the person being paid to do it but not so much not for the corporate executive that would just need to call the hit for your name badge.

Yeah, that seems like what it would come down to.
If you have pissed off the wrong person then they could probably do it, otherwise it's not really an issue.
It's pretty much like anything about computers, if you take reasonable precautions you should be fine.
But if there is someone with the power and skills who has been pointed your direction for whatever reason, anyone can be hacked and tracked.

please a guy in my store watches porn during his half sometimes, if they allow that but not here thats messed up! (yes im serious)
