Archived Price planning...Whaaaaa?

Ok soooo I figured out what it means when "return from LOA" is written on your schedule, price planning! What does price planning entail exactly? I like to have a slight idea of what I'm doing before I do it. My store is notorious for throwing a team member in head first and hoping for the best. Thanks so much in advance!😀
