TBH i'd rather be called Target then repeated called by my first name. Yes I have a nametag, but don't say my name every five seconds.

My response? "Is that with a large drink, sir?"

If these people didn't come up to you and ask you for something, you wouldn't have a job.

Always be professional.

And then the kid grows up to be one of those assholes who snaps their fingers at waitpeople and yells at cashiers over a price discrepancy. Just because we provide a service doesn't mean people get to treat us like animals.

Guest flagged me down yesterday whIle I was zooming for another guest. I turned around and answered her question while walking backwards at full speed, then spun back to the task already at hand.

Had a guest whistle for me a few years ago. In my electronics days. I was fuming by the time I got to her. I was probably very rude. Don't care though. And I was called a asshole a few years ago because we can't do a return at the electronics boat. Other than that our guests are fairly nice.

What I've been called over the service desk is NSFW, simply because I told them "No" on a return.
Ahhhhhh......those were the days.

I do not respond to whistles or snaps. It's a policy I started as a waitress. I made the call that my dignity was more important than annoying the occasional rude customer.
