Update for anyone following along: I got paid for both vaccines and received pay for the days I was sick from the vaccine. Thank you for all you help!! Anyone having trouble with HR paying you just call HROC!
I happened to have the day off immediately following my 2nd vaccine, however, the next day when I was supposed to return, I still had symptoms, so I called out and they paid me for that.
Figured. They compared it to “sick time” and how one can’t use their sick time if it puts them into overtime? Which maybe is true? But that’s how they explained it to me/also compared it to me working over my average hours = can’t get it.
Idk anything ahout age, but HR is saying that they cannot pay be because it will make me go overtime. It’s pretty frustrating because many are saying hours shouldn’t matter
Can you get in trouble for staying 1 hour past your scheduled time? I did take a lunch earlier so not in danger of compliance, and am no where close to hitting overtime. Just accidentally worked 9 hrs instead of 8. For some reason remembered my schedule wrong. Thanks!
