It's not wrong to have wanted positive recognition for a job well done. And when that's not given, it can hurt. We have many ways to response, but the main two are probably, leave or lower expectations (which can hurt too).

Happens all the time. People do it to cashiers somewhat too. Stand there holding a shirt in front of them going "Hmmmmm. Well....hmmmm. Maybe...hmmmm" and reevaluating every item in their cart. Lonely/sad or distracting attention for something else.

Also exactly agree with JAShands.

I check every other week and use vacation minutes any week at all that I work below my average hours. That's money I want immediately. I have heard about way too many people who let it max out and then it stops accruing. I save for things with my paycheck and budget. I want the vacation pay...

I have heard of people just dropping a shift then filling in their vacation/sick time. Go back to previous weeks and fill it in. Also vacation time stops accruing after a certain amount so people please remember to cash in on vacation enough so you don't lose more accruals! 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Sounds like a scammer guest. Maybe distracting you while someone else loaded up a cart. Maybe that happened and they don't want to tell you.
