Our Closing TL partners with every leader that is there to get a game plan and follows up with any tm’s already there and coming in so we all know what to do. If your closers are dependable you shouldn’t have to worry too much about the tasks left for them. Aside from that our TL will just...
I was running consumables for a good while but being carrot dangled so long I ended up leaving for a grocery chain full time early mornings. Our stores turnover is pretty terrible so they let me change my availability to one night a week. If your serious enough and they like you they will try...
Had a corporate call to figure out why a particular grocery item was out of stock because the guest had found it for so cheap a few weeks before. Had to explain to the guy at corporate that items do become discontinued and clearance out for any reason and his response was “I don’t know why...
I always did it first thing into my closing shift, dump very hot soapy water and let sit for at least 20 minutes and use the tough britsle scubber to get some milk off, let water sit and repeat. Then mop up at the very end. Total Time scrubbing was about 20 minutes but all the water I’d let soak...
Yes there’s pog’s but for visual areas like clothing and the new decor flat the styles and schemes rotate every 4-6 weeks. One or two people to set, maintain, remerch and upsell is crucial. But of course that position has been cut back so much. This is coming from an ex-brand Tm.
Thank you, although I gave up and decided to clean and swap a spare rack we have, there is just so much caked in the plastic strip I couldn’t even loosen it . 😖
It’s been a while but how am I supposed to get the large plastic strip that holds the label strips on the milk racks for walk in coolers. It is straight up nasty but I’m having so much trouble getting it off.🤮
I didn’t mind all that much with the minimum being raised, but for my particular store there are no incentives, no guaranteed hours, no stability in scheduling, no accountability for new tm’s and no development. 🤷🏽♀️
Yep. With the right people it can just barely get done. But even still it’s pushing it. For our particular store it’s at a minimum
2-3 daily for dairy and 3-4 for dry market
Plus 1-2 people when frozen comes in three times a week.
We have a small pfresh so avg our truck is ~ 200/250 for dairy and ~70/130 produce with 2-3 people totaling 22 hours
My goals and expectations were always autofill tasks is how long it should take to complete *push, fill and backstock* ie. 60 tasks 60 minutes
Trying to stick to a minute per...
Our Store doesn’t care all too much, I normally wear a grey tee with a buffalo plaid flannel in market . You don’t get too hot or too cold working pfresh and it doesn’t appear too dirty after working dry market.
Tried walking/athletic shoes developed plantar facialitis; now a days Converse or flat sneaker with good cushion. If the shoe feels worse than being on concrete they are no good in my eyes. Also add a 3/4 high arc insole even though I have flat feet but somehow still helps.
Drivers have told me we should not have more than two consecutive trucks with a backhaul (we get FDC every day). I’ve had some try to lie/complain/sneak their way into not taking pallets Quick call to sts and *presto* loaded the next delivery.
