    Archived ETL hours?

Typically ETLs work anywhere from 8-10hrs. Closing is usually the shorter shift. I definitely know of ETLs who work longer hours, but its not worth it. You will kill yourself and be unhappy.

    Archived ETL interview process

I know 2 ETLs who were hired as a Sr. TL, it took 1 year to promote. They both said they asked for ETL mentors and picked things they could impact in the store. That helped both of them. It is actually helpful to be a TL, Sr.TL first if you have little retail experience. I can't tell you how...

Archived Ok Team Leads, spill the beans!

Each store is going to be given REDcard goals instead of having conversion. Prompts are going away and the initial goal is going to be based on what your store did in 2014. If that is truly how it works I like it.

Archived Transferring workcenters on Final Warning.

Like the previous thread says, it really depends on the store. At my store if you are not at least a high IE or E you can not transfer work centers. If someone is on a corrective action for anything except for maybe a NCNS they definitely will not be able to transfer work centers.

Archived Advice on applicant for the GSTL position?

For the interview make sure you are prepared for situational questions, "Tell me about a time...". All of your answers should have some sort of Leadership example in them. In the US there are typically 3 interviews, one with an ETL/HR, STL, and then finally with the DTL to make the final...

    Archived AE14 Reviews

HR sent out an email stating that we were over budget for our initial scores. I flat out said that I would not lower any scores, the team members were given what they deserve and that she needed to let our DTL know we would not be lowering scores just to fit into the budget. They need to figure...

    Archived Looking to become SFT

Have you spoken with an ETL about what you want? I know of several people who were promoted based on their previous work and interview. You could always speak with your ETL and HR, there isn't a rule book or anything that says you have to have a TLs approval. Remember your development is your...

    Archived Ae2014

I do the payroll forecasting at my store and I can for sure tell you that Planos hours are only Planograms and Revisions. It sounds to me like your STL or who ever reallocated hours is taking away hours from Plano if you do not have enough time to get done. The PTL at my store is a great planner...

    Archived Ae2014

@Snookie Your store sounds like it adjusts TL like mine, based on what we think we need. We are C volume going to be Org 3. We are supposed to have 1 SB and 1 FA, but so that we have can one more TL on the floor we combined those positions a long time ago. Since we technically have to lose 3 SF...

    Archived Ae2014

My store is now going to be Org 3 Pfresh. We get to keep our CTL plus have 2 HL and 1 SL on the floor. Not sure how my STL pulled that one if we are not supposed to.

    Archived Ae2014

My store is a $35m Pfresh store (org 2 I believe). My STL organizes TL differently, but as of now we are 1 over head count. For TLs we have 2GSTLs, SBUX/TC, 3 HL, 2 SL, LOG, Flow, CTL, Plano, PA, APTL, and SFT. For ETLs we have a HL, SL/GE, LOG, and HR. We have until September to drop to 2 HL, 1...

    Archived Team Leader Pay

I was promoted internally about 7 years ago with a $3 raise that put me at a little over $16. I am now a Sr. TL and paid a little less than $24. I have a friend who promoted at the same store and is just now hitting $16 after 3 years. It really depends on the HR, STL, and experience.

Archived The Truth About What Execs Really Think of Team Leaders

I have seen what HeyThereDelia posted and it is Succession Planning. It is for planning who will be taking over what areas and when. It also lists TL in order of HIPO, Do More, Well Placed, Needs Improvement, New In Role etc. We actually do the same for thing for TMs its called the PPA grid. I...

    Archived Dress code?

Business Casual! You want to look nice and be comfortable at the same time. To those that are saying polos should not be worn I am wondering why? Look in the Red magazine and a NTU and you will see lots of ETLs, STLs, DTLs, etc. wearing polos. My current DTL wears nice polos all the time.
